Theory to end all theories!

Prometheus: Alien re-imagined. Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has confused a large number of movie goers; however, it rather makes sense once the predecessor “Alien” is taken into account. There is no direct link between the two films because the two films are indeed the same. The 1979 Alien film is in fact an earlier concept to the 2012 Prometheus. Once this perspective is established, one can see the same story unfold in a slightly different manner.
