Yes there whole technology is probably bio based...Imagine we were a crop for eating for maybe the elders or this god like being :S maybe it feeds off our thoughts or wat not :P ...

Ah no I didnt mean like that I meant like we saw happen in Prometheus -the fear in the people being attacked etc. etc. mainly bad emotions - maybe they/it just likes fear to feed off...grow a crop throw the goo in and enjoy...
