RELAUNCHING, like as if the First Prometheus Mission wasn't a complete success and they've put up another one to double check the data, via a second ship called Prometheus 2?
I know this has been brought up before but it seems to have 'gone off the boil'.
Could that old psy-op marketing story that Prometheus was actually a 'fake trailer' or 'glitch report' sent by David8 for 'some other events' that have yet to be shown? Some new/dual narrative? Some new Yutani revelation?
[b]RELAUNCHING[/b] was the exact scripted word this telephone voice used, discuss: allay my fears/hopes.

God damn it I hope its not another let down :( ...but it does seem very strange to pick the american date which isnt even the first blu ray to be released hmm...
For me dual narrative or part 2 would blow me away if done right of course but hats off if they kept that under wraps.
Then TV series or some kind of additional information on the whole plot could work out to be quite good. Like imagine just a short film that reveals a bit more of the universe or something like that...
But if its more nothingness or just the blu-ray it would be awful and the whole thing would sink a little bit further into the abyss. :S

MemberOvomorphSep-11-2012 9:26 AMIf you ask me I think we as fans have overhyped this way too much. I used to be optimistic but at this point I think it's nothing more than the dvd release of which we all have the details.
By "relaunching" they just mean the films coming out on dvd. As if it was "launched" into theatres and now it's being "relaunched" to dvd.

MemberOvomorphSep-12-2012 11:04 PMI'd definitely go see the longer version but it's not like the film made Avatar cash. I don't think there was enough interest the first time around for Fox to spend more money on marketing and distribution.
Sorry, not gonna happen. Trust me, I hate that we're gonna be let down but I think we all overhyped it ourselves. All Fox did was make a website with pretty much nothing on it and put it as a semi-coda after the credits.
