Aliens Colonial Marines Responsible For Prometheus?

Not much to say here...just my fervent wish that Prometheus distance itself from the old franchise, and move ahead away from all already done and this xeno fever which should be forgoten in the light of something a lot more interesting as what and who are the Engineers and their intents...

If they can't explain to me how any of that colony still exists after a 40 megaton blast with a blast radius of 30 kilometres then I don't think I can take anything Randy Pitchford says seriously. It just is not possible that the colony would survive at all. Add to that the fact that because there was nothing left alive on LV-426 for the Aliens to infect. All the colonists died. There were no animals alive there either. So where the hell did the new Aliens come from? Magic? Did a facehugger impregnate one of their own? (Which still wouldn't explain anything)

there has bee some vids out for the game.The 1 i saw he said that when i blew up it blew up high and outwards so only a small bit got damaged trhink it in the 10mins game play vid that out he says it on that vid i think.

I saw the same vid kalhava, but I'm sorry, that's just not scientifically possible. Do some Google research on the subject and you'll find that even if there was a slight bowl that the atmosphere processor was built in it would still not direct the explosion directly upwards, besides which the radiation from an explosion like that would have sterilised everything within 10 k's (or more with the wind on the planet) so the new marines should not be able to set foot in that area of the planet without radiation suits. And if you watch at the end of Aliens when it blows up, it quite clearly is a large circular explosion that extends many kilometres outwards. It's stretching it extremely thin. And again, THERE WERE NO LIVING CREATURES LEFT ON THE PLANET for the Aliens to infect. So where do all these new ones come from?

Well the game like AVP is based in and around the same universe but it does not have to be canon. Thus it does not mean that after Aliens anything is left as far as Xenos on LV 426 within the canon of the movies. It is a interesting point regarding the Space Jockey and Ridley Scott, you see Fox has the License and they give the Game Developers the permission to use such in the game. Maybe indeed if Fox said the company could visit and show the Space Jockey, then maybe the Game Company could have gone along with permission from Fox and touched up who this race was etc. Thus if Ridley was alerted he could have then gone to Fox and pitched the idea that he would like to explore who the Space Jockey was so that his ideas are shown and not someone elses. And i think this is why Ridley will eventually show us who the Xeno came to be and its connection with the Engineers as if he does not, well the doors open for someone else to go and explore and answer those questions and the answers they may give may be completely different to what Ridley would have wanted.

Life will find a way, and will you find inspiration where you can find it. Most of the time it will not be of our own choosing, but will just pop out of nowhere and usually at the most inconvenient time. I am glad this meeting took place, and that Ridley got back to Science Fiction... we missed him.
