MemberNeomorphSep-16-2012 9:01 PMIn the scene where David is talking with Weyland, in his cryo chamber, before the big reveal, it is very difficult to make out what he is saying to Weyland, i thought anyway.
Cuts to scene.
David says to Weyland "No sir, i will take care of it"
Weyland says something to David.
David replies "Yes sir, understood, i'm sorry"
Weyland says something else.
David replies "Of course sir"
Then he walks off and meets Vickers lurking in the corridor.
That is just before the scene where he infects Holloway, so it seems that Weyland did give him orders to infect him?
But does anyone know what Weyland was saying to David?

MemberOvomorphSep-17-2012 2:08 PMYeah thats what I think was going on. He was telling Weyland that maybe he doesnt know enough about the black goo or whatever they were specifically talking about. Maybe Weyland was trying to figure out if he knew anything and basically he was saying Eh its a bit premature to know exactly what this black goo is or can do. Those are just my thoughts. Cant wait for the bluray to come out and examine the film alot closer :D

AdminPraetorianSep-17-2012 6:05 PMI am pretty sure Weyland was asking him to test the goo on someone to see what it does. David picked Holloway simply because, in the words of M.Fassbender; "He was mean to me". I will find that interview for you guys.
I found it, it's in part 2 at the beginning, Fassbender confirms David chose Holloway because he was mean to him.
