Prometheus DVD US release pushed forward to: 09.10.12

I hope so!

I've kind of assumed that the 9th was ALWAYS the release date, because new releases typically come out on Tuesdays. But I'm still trying not to expect grand things on 10/11/12, so that i dont get my hopes up. Could be something, could be nothing. *shrug* Since we already know the sequel is confirmed, what else do we need? I'll be happy to get my hands on the Bluray.

Of course it means something else. All those nay sayers who accused me and others, with the same view, of "Blowing the 10 11 12 thing out of proportion" can eat their words! 10 11 12 DVD/Blu Ray release date, WAS only applicable to the US, but what about everywhere else? People who watched it, in different countries around the world, got the 10 11 12 at the end of the credits but had different dates for the DVD/Blu Ray release than America. The biggest question here should be, why do they keep changing the release dates?

i dont think they changed the release date. i think a lot of retail/wholesale outlets etc. just kinda jumped on the 10.11.12 date as the probable release date for the homevideo. we had a rumored release date of 10.9.12 and then things started ramping up with "what is 10.11.12"....i think some outlets (wanting to be the first to post the street date) just assumed that, because 10.9 and 10.11 are so near one another, 10.11 must be the street date. i would imagine that what we have seen on amazon.com is fox informing them of the official street date for the film (and it happens to be the date that was initially floating around).

i bet someone on this forum knows what 10 11 12 is all about....I demand you speak now!!!...;) But at the same time...it could be some silly little announcement about a game or toy....or something we already know about....just announced in a more official manner...

What makes me angry is that it probably will be fecking toys Aarrrrrgghghghg! FOX WE ARE NOT 8 YEARS OLD FFS!

who knows what it will be, but it wont be the NECA toys. They are officially hitting stores next week. its not going to be toys....that would be too pathetic...even for fox. 10.11.12 prolly wont be anything too exciting, but it wont be some toy announcement.

Just had a terrible thought! With the 10 11 12 relaunch.....hold on to your hairpiece's........ It might be the Prometheus ship models or juggernaut models. Oh god, please NO FFS NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

maybe it's another d/l for microsoft office, or a coke commercial... that's what started happening a few weeks before and after the theater release! The whole thing makes me think of the scene in "a christmas story" when Ralphy uses the decoder ring to decipher a "drink your Ovaltine" commercial message. Let's try and lower our expectations so we don't get let down.

Good news! Probably more crap though like people say - I am still on the TV series shizzle or something similar... Must admit it smells of them trying to put us off the scent - allot of stuff was looking TV series ish with the careers stuff then it stopped suddenly and the captain transmission video came out which maybe was to throw us off and also the dvd was put to that date now we get closer its all moving again hmmm interesting...

Prometheus was a PILOT FOR A TV SHOW? I'm kinda swallowing back a little sick at this thought, but Hollywood knows no boundaries as concerns 'how low will they go'. Praying for RELAUNCH, RE-EDIT, RE-STORATION CUT. Fearing the TV SHOW.... or maybe it'll be really good, lol, like X-Files was while Tooms was onscreen. Ya know?

There have been different release dates from the beginning. Some sites say 10/9/12 and some say 10/11/12. Who knows what the hell's going on at this point?
