I bought the pre release on Xbox and watched the extended scenes. When the engineer speaks to David all he is saying is asking why this man wants to live forever, he is somewhat disgusted at the question. Then weyland proceeds to tell the engineer he made david from nothing and he is a creator like the engineer. He calls then both gods at which point it goes back to normal clips and the engineer (spoiler) rips davids head off.

Humm...more to that scenario I posted up...
The Engineers are battling against their creators in a long, bitter conflict...and thus this punny old alien comes comparing them to their hated creators, and copying their masters in creating artificial beings just to abuse them, and mistreating whoever is defying him(he looks at what he is doing to Shaw, and his face was not friendly...)
He gets fed and explodes, taking David out of his servitude and killing the punny, evil alien for daring to compare him to something like his enemy of like that alien himself.
He kills them outright for such an outrage and despair to have them coming to his presence...

To answer the original question posed above: go to THIS TOPIC and begin reading at my reply (number 84) on page 6.
Basically it's not a very satisfying answer, but better than nothing, I guess...
There is a bit more to know about it than CantSpaceJockTheRock accurately gives above, but not much... :•(

@FreePlanet - someone stated that in YT comment section. Since PIE is the root of english and other languages they have some similiar words.
