MemberOvomorphOct-07-2012 1:19 PMso what do we think on the origin of the aliens? did the engineers even make them?
if you remember there was a big queen mural, it looks almost like a romantic painting, like something they worship, seems odd to make a mural like that for something you made. it definitely proves the deacon isnt the first alien.
was them making humans from the start their way of trying to replicate/reproduce aliens? (they only made the overgrown facehugger after a human exposed to black ooze impregnated another human) sounds overly elaborate but you never know.
and the ship in the first alien the eggs were laid out almost in a ritualistic manner, definitely not laid directly by a queen. which means the ship wasnt from lv223, and that the engineers were transporting alien eggs (for study? to purge earth with one of their safer weapons since the black ooze wiped out one of their bases?)

MemberOvomorphOct-09-2012 8:45 AMTrue, but as Shaw asks, who made the Engineers? Did they make the black goo, or was that something mysterious that their race found hundreds of millions of years ago? Were they pre-dated by something even more exotic?
I would like to think so. They might seem awesome and powerful, but compared with the true Gods, they are nothing...
But since there are many possibilities, I won't be too disappointed if it doesn't turn out this way.
The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent

MemberDeaconOct-09-2012 10:38 AMWell this was the main unanswered Question we still dont have the answer for, we was hopping for some idea in Prometheus and all Prometheus did was show us who the Space Jockey Race was and that turned out to be something different to what many may have thought.
The only connection with the Xeno was that yes this Organism has a connection with the Engineers and also seems to have connection with the Urns Black Goo and LV 223 and that the Engineers well they also dabble in other experiments to create Bio Weapons.
We still do not know of how the Engineers came across the Xeno or if they made them or if they are a experiment they made using some other life form and why and when.
So we still do not know how the Xeno came to be.....
Only a rough guess that the Urns and Xeno are connected but still we cant be 100% sure if the Xeno predates the Urns or Vice Versa....

MemberOvomorphOct-18-2012 6:02 AMI have to agree that the black goo does different things to different hosts. But the results have a similar thread. The worms turning into the hammerhead creature which kinda looked to me what a prehistoric facehugger might have evolved from.
It also reserected the tattooed guy from the dead and gave him super strength and an Xeno-like head(which looked way better in the deleted scenes to me). That ones a mystery because he was killed by the acid-blood.Maybe he fell in some goo after...gotta reason to watch it again now :)
I'm assuming that the huge facehugger(can't remember what he's called here) and the deacon are more or less bottom line products that the goo strives to produce.
Maybe David's vase contained goo for a huge facehugger?
