My 3 disc 3D box arrived from Amazon this morning : )
Visual quality is stunning, I originally saw it in IMAX 3D, didn't realise how dark the movie was until I just watched the widescreen 2D version... brighter and far more detailed - Brilliant!
Great extras, but no luck in syncing the Weyland iPad App with the movie (you need a Blu-Ray WiFI enabled player) for "second screen" extras that are not available directly from the disc menus... like the script!
What's the point of doing this? Not everyone has a WiFI Blu-Ray or iPad/iPhone/Android device - Fox should have made ALL the extras available for TV playback, instead of some convoluted techie app, that doesn't seem to work with my set up : (

BTW...
The DVD version (legitimate and genuine) was available in a duty free shop at Jo'Berg airport last Monday!!!

I wasnt able to go to the cinema when the movie came out so I have been eagerly waiting for the DVD. I have just finished watching it for the first time. I am a huge fan of RS but I was really disapointed buy the film. Especially waiting 6 months to see it.
I watched it as a film on its own and not trying to make it fit in with Alien. Im not going to go into all the holes, they have been covered in other posts. I just hope the second film makes more sense. Maybe it will be better when I watch it again.

I'm in Los Angeles Ca... All the Target stores are including a photo book exclusive to Target with the 3D blu ray copy...

@Kane.
I may have confused you : )
The DVD extras play fine without all the WiFi nonsense.
There are two levels of extras on the 3D Blu-Ray box set. There's the standard extras (Deleted/extended scenes/Documentary etc.) and a small but further layer of bonus material that can only be accessed via the Weyland "Second Screen" app via a WiFi enabled Blu-Ray player and mobile device... if you can get it to work.
