MemberOvomorphOct-30-2012 4:27 PMMy favorite shot was the close up of David's fingertip with the Weyland trademark built into the fingerprint. It also was part of the most puzzling plot point. What was David's agenda in putting the black goo into Holloway's drink? Did it come from Weyland or from Vickers, who clearly doesn't want her father to survive?

MemberOvomorphOct-31-2012 9:05 PMThe scene where David's on the engineers ship and activates the holographic star map an interesting scene as David's a robot but he seems to be excited and amazed almost like a human.hes still a very naughty robot mind!Lol

MemberOvomorphNov-09-2012 10:41 AMI love the part where "DAVID" responds to "Dr. Holloway" about how he would feel if he asked his maker why they made us. The answer being "Because We Could" It was just so smug and smart. Puts Holloway right in his place.
Alien/Prometheus
MemberOvomorphNov-12-2012 12:14 PMI love all of the scenes but if i had to choose a fave, it would probably be the end where the original ALIEN bursts out of the engineer. I loved this, as i am a massive Ridley Scott Alien fan!!!!!! I do love all the scenes containing David though, and all the graphic scenes such as the caesarean and when Holloway turned into that monster and had a rampage. That was awesome!!!!

MemberOvomorphNov-16-2012 8:25 PMDavid on his own aboard Prometheus near the start of the film. Very profound ..... sadly it was all downhill from there.

MemberOvomorphNov-17-2012 7:41 AMOne early scene that I enjoy because it makes a brief appearence is the ship flying aeeos the star filled sky,,feom left to right.
It happens right in the middle of the screen almost like it divides the star field.
It is silent against the vastness of space.
Perhaps it there just for filler..but the ship movement undisturbed across the of space seemed almost unreal .
You sort of wonder from the camera viewpoint who or what would be watching this almost surreal scene.
I would like to think it was God..

MemberOvomorphNov-18-2012 8:02 AMOverall favorite for me has to be the opening "sacrifice" sequence, beautifully filmed and answering as many questions as it poses...LOVED it!

MemberOvomorphNov-18-2012 8:08 AMreally hard to decide.... the rovers rushing to avoid the billowing brown clouds of the sand storm is pretty awesome but then there are many dramatic and genuinely 'epic' (such an overused word these days) scenes
I LIKE WORMS! I LOVE WORMS!

MemberOvomorphNov-18-2012 8:14 AMof course then theres the chair rising up like a majestic giant erect....erm cockpit lol

MemberOvomorphNov-18-2012 5:06 PMThe scene when David walks into the space-hologram stuck to my brain..
You can see the Giger inspirational walls and the beautiful hologram in the middle..
I guess.. maybe because in that scary dark place there was this light place where you just forgot where you actually stood...

But really.. there was several scenes that was "Freezed the hand in the popcornbowl with the mouth open for a while" x)
I even have a Alien joystick for my Sega Master System :D

MemberOvomorphNov-20-2012 12:58 PMHmm I don't know if I have watched the End credits. at home.
In the theater the place was silent as viewers didn't know what to think.

MemberOvomorphNov-23-2012 12:27 PM1. landscape and sacrifice - deeply stirring
2. David alone - haunting
3. Fifield and Milburn's ongoing rapport
4. The waking still-dopey Engineer
The 'Deacon' scene reminded me of the sequel-toting appearance of little critter in the kharzi at the end of 'Godzilla'. Naff.

MemberOvomorphDec-15-2012 1:47 PMthe beginning was possibly the most moving scene of any ever. absolutely awed and overwhelmed me. can never without tears describe it to those who haven't seen it.
ship in flight over planetscape, complete with trailing vortices and landing. perfect
david's studies, experimentations with identity, irony [ironically]
the incredible beauty of the navigation room, the instrumentation so sensitively adapted to the human's noblest functions
the engineer's awakening and dialogue
david's dream-readings
wonder and longing evoked in equal measure, making every body hair stand on end. if only the engineers really existed.
this film in 3D is why imax was invented. i never wanted it to end. cannot wait for another installment

The kamikaze scene, Janek was my favorite character, and even though the hands up part kind of ruined the effect, I still loved it.

The derelict chair rising out of the floor just... :)
Overall I enjoyed it, and although people sometimes didn't, I certainly know I had! :)

MemberOvomorphDec-19-2012 3:40 PMWith many peoploe mention the chair raising scen as a favorite I needed to play that part of the movie,
With the sound up it is indeed quite a visual treat. It not obnly is huge but the way the Engineer seems almost eager to get settled in and start the mission.
The way the floor opens and the chair rises out is very good and worthwhile to point out..
Sometimes a scene seems more fantastic/dramaticc after a few viewings and reading a comment by a poster.
I can't remember the last time I actually just watched the movie without stopping and posting.
Perhaps only in the theater will I get a Theatrical experience, The DVD player and TV are way to close to the computer. Access to this site is now a problem when watching the nmovie,
It drives my wife crazy when viewing the movie I stop.. check the site and write a comment.

MemberOvomorphFeb-20-2013 11:18 PMThe Pilot Chair scene and the Engineer waking up from cryo-sleep after 2,000 years. If your a Space Jockey fan like me then you will LOVE the chair suit up part.
The Anunnaki were on the earth in those days--and also afterward--when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, mighty men of high reno

MemberOvomorphFeb-20-2013 11:23 PMHowever if you hated the movie then go make another thread somewhere else. I get tired of hearing about how "some people" didnt like the movie because it couldnt live up to your unreasonable expectations anyway!

MemberOvomorphFeb-23-2013 11:05 AMIf I had to pick one favourite scene, it might be the alien ship tumbling on the moon's surface near the end.
Each time I see this scene, I have an inner chuckle in the knowledge that many viewers don't notice the barrage of debris that's raining down either side of the ship, and get themselves unnecessarily worked up as to why Shaw & Vickers take shelter in the ship's shadow.
The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent

MemberOvomorphApr-12-2014 7:25 PMOh, dear! That's nearly impossible to decide!
The opening sequence is immediately striking. So epic yet mysterious....
But, alas, there's also the Orrery activation scene which is just awe-inspiring.
