When you say "the alien", are you referring to a xenomorph or the deacon at the end of prometheus? I do not think the xenomorph will be seen in Prometheus 2 or "Paradise". The deacon, on the other hand, is more than bound to appear in the next instalment. I can't really see any reason to why they should drop it from the plot. :)

From what I read a few days ago, Ridley Scott said the sequel was going to be further away from the Alien story than Prometheus itself. So I don't think we're gonna see any Xenos. They may touch on the topic a bit, but I think that's about it.

We might not see the xenos that we see in the Alien franchise, but I do think there is more to their culture than just their soldiers (Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, Alien Ressurection, etc). I could see the sequel exploring THEIR culture further and relating back to the engineer culture. And I definitely think we'll see the adult deacon. I bet the opening see to Paradise will be the deacon mutilating the holy crap out of an explorer team that lands on LV-223 to find out the fate of the Prometheus crew. Thats just me though :)
