MemberOvomorphOct-10-2012 11:51 AMAfter having a look of the "Infographic" that was released yesterday, I decided to look around on the Weyland Industries website. I went to the "Discover New Worlds" section where you can see the planets that Weyland has colonized, etc. I remembered the "test planets" from the "Weapon Dispersion" part of the Infographic and started trying to compare them to the planets that have been colonized. One planet I found, "KOI-2410: Themis Outpost", is a Weyland Industries' mining planet established in 2071 that looks strangely similar to "Planet_Test_1Alpha" from the Infographic. Let me know what you guys think.
Here's a quick comparison I made in paint

The land formations look exactly the same, but the colors are a little different. Maybe because of time difference? Prometheus takes place in December 2093 and who knows when the Engineers tested the virus (Black Goo) on that planet. Can't really make much from it, but I just thought it was interesting.

MemberOvomorphOct-10-2012 2:02 PMHmm, they took the same picture and used it twice.
So what? Its just viral marketing, nothing else.

MemberOvomorphOct-10-2012 2:10 PMdoes that mean we shouldn't trust any of this extra-film stuff, this marketing guff?

MemberOvomorphOct-10-2012 2:15 PMThis is actually pretty amazing. I didn't even think about comparing the planets to the ones on the weyland universe map. Good find! :D This got me scrolling the map for more clues.

MemberOvomorphOct-10-2012 7:34 PMBoyohboy, yes they did use it twice. But did you even see the infographic that I'm referring to? I don't think you did. They're obviously linking the planet that is colonized for mining by Weyland with the black goo infection. I know it doesn't mean much, but it is interesting nonetheless. Hence my title, "An Interesting Find". I didn't say it meant anything important.

MemberOvomorphOct-10-2012 7:39 PMThrocken, thanks I found it pretty amazing too. I don't think it's the marketing team being lazy and just using the same image twice like Boyohboy does. They definitely meant to do it. Which means the virus (Black goo) is either currently on that Weyland colony planet or its on its way. Here's to hoping we actually get some sort of information tomorrow!

MemberOvomorphOct-11-2012 5:13 AMif you think of it, its quite an excessive interpretation of capitalistic megalomania to lay hands on whole planets for ´scientific´ research..a horror future vision..
