Then the main selling point on the DVD was "Questions will be answered" which they weren't, is It all for money and sells? Anyone else experiencing such dissapointment?

MemberOvomorphOct-11-2012 9:16 PMactually, the Blu ray set has multiple answers housed within its framework (ill let you find them...thats part of the fun). The dvd is bare bones, but the 4 disc blu ray set has some of the most expansive and comprehensive special features ive ever seen in a home video release. I hate it for those who dont have blu ray players, but frankly, prometheus is a film that really should be viewed in hi def. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into creating prometheus. Irrespective of if you liked the film or not, no one can watch the documentary (furious gods) and say that this film was just crapped out with no care. Ludicrous. As far as 10.11.12 is concerned....yeah; looks like they dropped the ball with that, but i dont really care. IMO...we've got a great film, a stellar blu ray release, the promise of a sequel etc. etc. Im ok with everything.

If by "questions will be answered" on the home video release they meant "here's all the ideas that we wanted to do but couldn't due to time/budget/creative/studio constraints" then I guess it does answer those questions.
This reminds me of the extended cut of Alien 3 that was released in 2004 in the Alien Quadrilogy. In the special features, they answered all of my questions I had about what went wrong during production.

Co-AdminMemberOvomorphOct-12-2012 12:46 AMCommentary and the documentary @ParkerN, the information is impressive to say the least. Why they did what they did, I am still questioning...

MemberOvomorphOct-12-2012 3:02 AMAgree joeyjoe, the film's fantastic, despite tiny flaws in the dialogue, but they're throwaway.
The Blu-Ray's content is a phenomenal as well at a bargain £20.00.

MemberNeomorphOct-13-2012 11:07 AMYeah SOME questions are answered, or should i say made a bit clearer. I really enjoyed the commentary by Ridley and the other two, but IMO they both contradict each other on a few occasions, for example, in Ridleys commentary, during the opening scene, he says that the engineers ship is different to the juggernaut because over time they have just changed the design of the ship. In Lindelofs commentary, he says the ship at the beginning is different to the juggernaut because they have different purposes, that the giant saucer ship is used to carry them to planets to seed life. So is Ridley right or Lindelof?
Also, i'm lucky enough to have a PS3 which is also a BluRay player, so i have access to special features like the documentary and Weyland arcives which are only on the 3D BluRay. But what about those who haven't got a BluRay player? What do they do? Its obvious that FOX have a deal with the hardware companies otherwise they would have released a 4 disc DVD set for those who haven't got a BluRay player.
The documentary is brilliant! Better than the actual film IMO, i could watch it over and over without getting bored! But again, that doesn't really answer many questions, just makes certain things a bit clearer. So for those of you that are thinking of buying a BluRay player just so they can watch the extra features, expecting to get a load of answers, my advice would be don't bother.
The poster was good though!
