Metal head...idol

I haven't seen any threads on the metal head and its resemblance to David. I'd have to say it looks just like David. David knew how to open the door, and said oops when he did. When they all saw the head David's comment was "remarkably human" with a sarcastic tone, perhaps because it ironically is him. I read a thread that speculated that the head and chamber are in worship of the creator of the stuff in the urns...somehow that is David. Another speculation is that the engineers are time jumping through wormholes. that would mean there is no time, no million years, no 2000 years, no linear timeline. They could go anywhere they wanted whenever they wanted. Therefore David and Whalen have interacted with the engineers in some other time and place. I thought the engineer when he looked at David and Whalen thought he recognized them a bit, and was a bit dumbfounded at what he was looking at. The engineer in the beginning, if there was an actual timeline would have evolved and changed over the thousands, millions, billion years...hence no timeline. Perhaps they are replanting their DNA to recreate themselves. Perhaps they destroyed themselves and are trying to recreate themselves in the timeline, hence the visits to old cultures, helping the old cultures along to become them. Love to hear some thoughts on the metal head.....
