MemberOvomorphNov-11-2012 6:41 AMHow long now before film-makers jump on the bandwagon with similar exploration-themed sci-fi/horror films? Or hasn't Prometheus left an indelible enough mark on filmgoers psyche yet? Count me in personally, I love it more each time I watch it.
I'm hoping first off is 'At The Mountains of Madness' if Del Toro takes up the reins again.

MemberOvomorphNov-11-2012 1:52 PM I've witnessed a bit of that in the latter half of 1977 with corny ass Japanese knock off Message From Space and later on in a couple of years with Battle Beyond The Stars, little did I know there were other countries, even the middle East, it seems, that produced their own generic hand-me-down junk, and of course, Europe.....none of them are cult movies, although, in some instances, it's hilarious in a contemptible way.
No, I do not think there will be a wave of junk movies. The money invested? I just don't see that.

I'm still trembling at the true horror of that movie (script, production, acting), even though it's 25 years since it was unleashed on me.
The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent
