your model brings out the BIO-MECH pipings and lines across the back of the skull more than the film

AdminEngineerJul-29-2012 11:29 AMWow ZetaReticuli - Amazing work man. Just fantastic! Gonna make a mention of this on our Twitter account.
So, do you plan to open a bid session for members here on the site for it? If so, I can assist in getting the word out and add a mention of it to the homepage and Facebook. Let me know.
But great work, really well done!

MemberOvomorphJul-29-2012 11:56 AMNice ancient feel to that sculpture.
@Freeplanet, what makes you think that the "pipings" are bio-mech? That might be true, I actually didn't think of it because some of the markings and head gear on tribal people are very similar. It made me think this was a representation of slavery.... Maybe it looked tribal because Earth people copied it off the Engineers!?

MemberOvomorphJul-29-2012 11:58 AMThanks all. Yes joeyjoe, there'll be a very limited number for the time being.
Chris, not sure what you mean by bid session on here. I'll post a link to the ebay listing up here later on ok?

AdminEngineerJul-29-2012 12:45 PM@ZetaReticuli, yeah let me know when the link is up and I'll make a mention of it and when the bidding starts. Looks great!
Do you have any future plans to do sculpts of other things in Prometheus? Perhaps a mount of the DEACON head? That would be awesome.

I certainly do have more Prometheus works in the pipeline and I'm working on two more sculpts as I write - one of the Hammerpede and one of the decapitated SJ head which will double as a separate sculpture of the revealed Engineer head as soon as I've moulded it. Busts of both the Engineer and the Deacon are also in the works.

MemberOvomorphJul-29-2012 9:36 PM THanks form sharing the scukpture,, Shows a good positive attitude about the film.
In looking at the sculpture..I am still reminded of the various large head sulptures.carvings located across the world, attibuted to ancient cuktures.
I wonder if the display st the Engineers' base was axrually a relic from an early Earth civilization...
In any case I enjoyed looking at all of your pix...

MemberOvomorphJul-30-2012 2:17 AMThanks Rsand, patch and Leeta. Yes, Leeta I had to get the proportions
and face as spot-on (within my standards) as I could before doing all the detailing. I did cross-hatching markings with a needle tool for the 'tiling' surface texture and then randomly 'wore' them with a brush and water.
I used a clay extruder to get those 'cords' all over the head. Took months on and off, but it's been a labour of love nonetheless.
Spacenik, a naked torso/bust of the engie is also on the cards too.
Indiejohn, I love ancient colossal art too and that tied in nicely with me being an Alien fan, so I was sold when I first saw the Head on publicity photos and heard of the plot rumours. I'm hoping there'll be more iconic imagery in the next film, if there is to be one.

MemberOvomorphJul-30-2012 9:42 AMSentinel,
oh, you mean the tribal scaring?
Well, that face (maybe it's the lighting) looks more like the external view of the Juggernaut and the Mothership, is all.
