I liked your #472 idea better. Breeding xenos for profit? Hmm to me that acid blood would be a great item to have in certain circumstances. Now if there was a strong enough container to house it til ready to use. Obviously the xeno skin can containit and that in it's self would be a great material to work with. Xenos' could the Buffalo on the American plains where the humans used all parts of this animal for subsitence for centuries. Engineers as Farmers! Now that is a great concept.

Makes no sense: a civilisation that is capable of creating bio-technology and manipulating DNA to the extent seen in the movie, would not bother creating a harmful creature to harvest its saliva. It would isolate the genes and plant them into some innocent slug that would spit liters of it all day long.

@pulserifle187 - I think you could be on to an interesting thought here!

It has been suggested that the Engineers did the DNA development to cope with their weaknesses. Using various strains of DNA might help them in their personal developnent into a Universal Master race so to speak. @Muad'Dib With so little to go on we don't know much about the Engineers except for the use/development of Goo. If there is any back story to their lives then that would give all of us a better understanding of the Last Engineer's actions. So to my thinking why not develop DNA with practical uses. Using xenos to ptovide a 'crop' seems like a possiblility but the Engineers like us viewers realize that it still too dangerous to their own lives. If the Engineer could be taken to Pub and down a few brews then we could find out the real Engineer and their thinking.
