Attention - a big update is on the way!

Alright everyone, It's been half a year since Prometheus hit the big screens in June and a lot of us loved it and some of us didn't. But what we all enjoyed was the speculation and anticipation leading up to the release and furthermore, discussing the film's future here in the forums well after it hit theaters. Prometheus-Movie.com has become the top Prometheus website on the web and , we have the best fan base by far with the friendliest members and a great team of staff. Everyone here for the most part is very respectful, kind and contributing and this makes the site an amazing place to visit and interact on. When I first began construction on Prometheus-Movie.com, my goal was to create the best community for Alien fans to get together and chat about the next big thing in the Alien universe - Prometheus. I remember being only 30 of us when we first took off, with [b]Neurion[/b] and [b]Ruhinya[/b] posting these awesome threads, really diving deep into the Alien mythology. It was great to read and contribute to, and then as we expanded and got more popular, more and more members joined to take part. It's been a great ride and I am very pleased with how everything turned out. We still have new discussions every day by eager fans and veteran members and it's great to see so many still enjoying this site even well after the film has come to pass. So, that being said I have an announcement. As many of you probably know, I started up a sci-fi network - [b]Scified.com[/b] where the goal is to create the most welcoming, attractive and interactive online communities for true, hard core fans of sci fi franchises. This is to replace the initial - "SciFi Movies Network" - which in all honesty was a terrible name. Haha. Since we are now on Scified - a much better and more "modern" name, with a catchy tagline of "Get Scified", I am working to move all our previous "SFMN" sites over to the new network! The Blade Runner 2, RoboCop and Predators sites will also be getting a makeover soon. But Prometheus is getting "Special" treatment. Because of what made Prometheus-Movie.com so successful and fun, I am moving the site in a new direction, as you would expect - to focus heavily on Prometheus' sequel - potentially named "Paradise". So, in the next few weeks, Prometheus-Movie.com will undergo a massive upgrade and change, with a brand new, sleak template to match those of the [i]Scified[/i] fansites as well as a couple other updates. Your accounts will remain active and nothing, content-wise will change. Everything will remain where it is except a couple forums. [b]Site News & Announcements[/b] forum will soon be removed completely, as Prometheus-Movie.com is now under the 'Scified' network heading, so any updates on Prometheus will be noted on a support forum on Scified.com. Also, the [b]Alien Discussions[/b] forum will be given its own mini site, for hard core Alien fans, where you can talk about all things Alien. [b]Community Discussions[/b] will remain active, but will be more targeted to Scified, as that is where most of the "off-topic" discussions will be kept. So, I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and safe Holiday, and I hope everyone will enjoy the massive upgrade the staff and I are preparing for you. :) It's been under construction for a while and I think most of you will really enjoy it! The goal once again, is to give you all and any new fans a safe and friendly place to talk about Prometheus, Alien and its sequel. This site will soon not only be the top Prometheus fansite, but also the top Prometheus Sequel news and fansite. So, stay tuned, because as we enter 2013, these updates will all take effect and kick start the new year right - with a fresh look and focus.
