Anyway, whats your guys' opinion on who should play the next Engineer(s) like what tall actor you think could pull it off. I know that if Daniel James or Ian Whyte did it again so we'd immediately recognize them. I wonder who Ridley Scott or the casting call would bring in to play another Space Jockey? I guess for me it would probably have to be someone thats very tall like over 7 feet to play an Engineer. Get a whole list of guys and maybe even girls if Ridley wants to show their females to be really super tall.

MemberOvomorphMar-25-2013 8:52 AMIts a strange concept but the entire civilization of Engineers may all be facially similar, the males at least and at least the younger more verile types. They may all be similar as they get to old age too if the y even get there. Not sure about the females, we have yet to see how the Engineers socienty truely functions. If indeed it even does so anymore, by conventional means at least (i.e) obviously males and females coupling. I wonder if Shaw is going to end up being the key to their salvation in some ways if the Engineers are somehow in fertile or the entire civilization has collapsed and the females were vanquished somehow then it stands to reason why they would go into hybernation until a cure was found, if that is indeed what has happened to them in the distant past.

I hope if there to be more the Engies, they will be much more frightening along with other tall entities beyond description.
Epic is wonderful, but they should move up a gear or three with the scares I think.

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2013 1:40 AMSee, I've NEVER understood this cinema-trenches aspect of the Prometheus movie; the one where you have to hire a REALLY TALL basketball player (and stand him on a box) to play the roll of a giant i) he wasn't even as tall as he should have been i.e. 4-5 meters and ii) he couldn't act.
For me, use THE TECHNIQUES OF MODERN CINEMATOGRAPHY as they did with the final ChestHugger scene, i.e. seamless.

MemberOvomorphMar-27-2013 12:00 AMThey don't have to be giants to look the part. Look what Peter Jackson did in Lord of the Rings to make normal sized people look like halflings or what Disney did 50+ years ago in Darby O'Gill and the Little People to create the Leprechauns.
