Anyways, given what we see in Alien and particularly in Prometheus, there could be an endless variety out there, mutation upon mutation, given the reproductive nightmare of the Morb, the unlikelihood of the Goo ever being contained and the havoc one drop can wreak.
As to "natural" versions of the beast, there could be only one, or a whole disgusting zoo of them on some planet-sized toxic waste dump where sanity goes to die.

MemberOvomorphMay-03-2013 4:28 PMOh yeah Morb sounds creepy and horrible that would be scary to have them all living on some planet with only one type of animal creations running around making more and more of themselves.
The Anunnaki were on the earth in those days--and also afterward--when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, mighty men of high reno

MemberOvomorphMay-03-2013 6:35 PMThere are 1,000's of distinct species, from which the mutations take place. The notion is that Prometheus gave fire to man, to make man equal with the gods, and he was banished; and in the movie, fire is the ability to create life. Shaw is the recipient of the gift, the first human to use it--and that's what I think she'll do a lot of in the sequel(s).
