If you look at these pictures on this site, it looks for me like nice locations where I would shoot the film.

AdminEngineerJun-10-2013 1:32 PMYeah, these images and potential filming locations were mentioned here a couple months ago. Turned out not to be for Paradise, but for Ridley's other movie Moses.
They're still working on the script, so until they have the story solidified, they won't be looking for locations just yet.
Hyped for: Alien: Romulus | Badlands (Predator 6) | Cloverfield 4

MemberDeaconJun-10-2013 4:34 PMWell if they are going for the Paradise Angle, that could also mean the Garden of Eden, then i would imagine that the Engineers Home world would not be as hostile a habitat.
Thats not to say that it wont be Hostile in other ways...
Unless its a baron place but we get some flash back scenes like the start of Prometheus Sacrificial Scene that would show us Paradise just as it is a Paradise, but when Shaw and David get their whats left is far from Paradise but a world ravaged from some past War or Catastrophe.
Some Scientists now are considering that Mars was Earth like to a degree (Hundreds Million Years ago), well lets say like LV 223 in the movie perhaps but not any more.

It does not have to look like a world which was ravaged from a War or Catastrophe.
Paradise could also look like a very big city (of course designed by H. R. Giger).
