Hi! I guess it was discussed before, but i will ask. Where is the main entrance to the Temple? David knows it, he stops here for a moment, waiting for the crew to go on. Also, he couldn't go trough this "hole" with his vehicle where they first go in What made that hole? Was it an explosion? That hole is a part of an entrance, or a door. Sorry for my bad english, if the picture links are bad, please fix them

I believe the hole or entrance the crew originally went through was just an entrance. I don't think an accident caused it or something like erosion(or something along those lines.) Yeah im pretty sure the engineers had that as another entrance/exit when they designed the temple. As to where the main entrance is, is anyones guess. I just assume on the opposite side that the whole crew entered and exited

Not a map, an invitation

I've given thought to this. I believe the entrance the crew originally went through was indeed a hole burst through the walls there, maybe not even an entrance at all. I doubt a door was ever there, and it clearly is broken into. David stopped all of a sudden as he did, because he was on his way to find and repair the "pup" that was malfunctioning. This was approximately 1 km away from the main building called the pyramid here. It could be reached by walking through the pyramid, but I think the movie is suggesting that David knew of another way to get there. It was down a tunnel, 1 km away, and it led to the ship they found the surviving engineer inside. Underneath where David stops, there is a hangar with a door that opens later in the movie for the ship to take off. David knew a lot more than he told anyone, throughout the picture.

Could it be one of the vents that Shaw climbs out of when the Juggernaut is taking off? Also, I got the feeling it was the main entrance they first went through, that huge half buried iris that was partially open?

@Major Noob: That sounds like a great idea for a possibility.

Maybe a vent or a hatch with a ladder.

Maybe the true entrances are the silo doors that open up to allow the Juggernauts to take off, maybe the only access is is via a Ship being docked. As i do feel that the hole the crew went through would be a little bit too small for the Engineers...

The engineers arrive there by Juggernaut. So I think the ground will open, like in the end of Prometheus, and the Juggernaut will flight down. I agree with BigDave. :)

That's a brilliant question . Shaw ran no more than 60 metres I guess and it was straight but curved and bent upwards to the end. But when david drove his little golf cart he made a 90 degree right turn and it seemed level all the way. So its probably an entrance we haven't seen yet. Maybe one dat we wil get schematics ....... *sigh*

Great point! how did he get down there with that ATV. Apparently those 4 wheelers had the ability to ascend or descend 90 degree angles. I wonder if all the scientific data collected by their instruments is downloaded into Davids computer brain..hence why he knows where to go.

The opening was a partially closed iris, it had very large blades that I would have been quite nervous about passing under. Thing gave me the heeby jeebies. I assume David would have access to the mapping data as it was generated. Clearly Weyland had more trust in him than anyone else. Maybe only in him. I'm wondering now how detailed the holographic display was aboard the Prometheus, if it may actually hold some answers of its own?
