Has anyone heard of any development regarding prometheus 2?

Any developments would be made news here at Scified, so don't fret, we get it posted as soon as it happens. :)

Expect some tidbits around the time that Ridley promotes The Counselor, he will be drilled with questions regarding the sequel, no doubt. Although I'm terribly impatient myself, more news will be inevitable so I wouldn't worry.
