New Prometheus 2 Cast member?

I never thought about another David version coming into play lol maybe Shaw will get a more advanced David and he will become jealous :(

I think David evolved beyond that, feels emotion, and was infatuated with Shaw bending his mission perimeters towards picking on her and killing his competition (holloway) Prometheus 2 will have him attempt romance and fail miserably! :)

@CarrotNaan; I agree, I think he likes Shaw too. In Alien, Ridley said Ash had sexual feeling for Rilpey so I am pretty sure that isn't out of the question in Prom

Shaw rejecting David's advances should be 80% of the film :) I didn't know what about ASH o_o kind of makes his scene with her a lot scarier

I think Holloway was just a result of Weyland telling him to "try harder" at securing a specimen. Or to find evidence of Alien life on LV223. I doubt he has any emotional attachment to Shaw what so ever. If anything, he's manipulative of people's emotions to complete his mission, whatever it may be. ;)

@Chris; There is an attraction to Shaw, Fassbender said David was jealous of Holloway because he liked her too. Seriously though, if Morse was exposed to Xenos/Engineers early on during the events of Prometheus 2/Paradise wouldn't he know about them by the time the events of Alien 3 came about?? I know the answer to the "moore question", hes a robot. It also answers how the eggs got on the sulocko. David did it! Hes creeped on the ship after they went into cryo sleep and released the eggs. Mainly to see what happens......it all makes sense now.

Well we can only take that with a pinch of salt... And also as being played as same character... Only ways this could pull of and make sense are... 1) He plays a relation to the Moorse from Alien 3. i.e Grand Father. 2) Indeed Shaw and David some how turn up at Paradise many many years in future after the Events of Alien... but in this way it would only make sense that the movie has two plots going at the same time, and one being David and Shaw on Paradise and the other events regarding Weyland Corp etc. As only way David and Shaw could interact with this Moorse would be if they do so after they return from Paradise which makes little sense... Now i am all for the events of Paradise occurring after say Alien 3 because then any interaction with the Engineers and their creators and especially any circumstances that may occur from how they receive the visit by Shaw and David, would not become a in continuity in the Alien universe... i.e after Shaw finds the other Engineers how come they dont come to visit or interact with mankind after Alien etc... This would be sorted if they indeed dont arrive at Paradise until after the events of Alien 3 or even resurrection. 3. The actor will play Android... which could then lead us to the one in Alien 3 also being Android but not the exact same one, as well then Moorse in Alien 3 would have known more about the Xeno etc.... But then again i would depend what time line as why would a Moorse model Android be around for over 80 years later. 4. The actor Danny Webb could be cast as a Elder Engineer, and in Engineer make up etc he would not look exactly the same.

On another note, there was rumors that Ridley was going to ask Sigourney to appear in Paradise. I was not sure how they would pull that off and it would been silly, but then i thought in a camero flash back scenes like the ones of Shaws Father in Prometheus it could work. Especially if she plays the role of say Shaws Auntie who brings Shaw up after the death of her Father... Thus a older Sigourney could play the role in cameo of Shaws Auntie and Guardian after her father died. This could then make a character played by Sigourney in Paradise be Ripleys grand mother and Shaws Auntie.

Is david sentient ? Like skynet in terminator ?

@oduodu; Yes he is, David is supposedly sentient like a human. Lindelof and Fassbender (and I think Ridley as well) have said he had developed real emotions during the two year voyage.

Wow. You really want this to be true, eh? I'm not saying it's impossible, but David and Shaw would need to actually sleep until like 20 years after Alien 3 to account for how much the actor has aged. (This would not make sense as it only took 2 years, 4 months, 18 days, 36 hours and 15 minutes to aallll the way from Earth o LV223. I'm supposed to believe that it takes almost 100 years to get to Paradise and that somehow they meet the most forgettable character in the trilogy along the way.) I agree, it would be cool to encompass the trilogy back into this new tangent, but not like this buddy. Golic was the best part of Alien 3 (special ed.) and they all but cut him out of the theatrical release :(

Actually, just to set the record straight: Roseanne and Tommy Wiseau will be filling in the Shaw and David Roles, respectively. You heard it here first. Personally, i can't wait to see what the old girl will bring to the table.

David poisoned Holloway because of his (rather broad) instructions from Weyland. Somehow, it really diminishes his character to say he did it all because of a girl he liked. I'm with you Chris. Furthermore, let's not have any "Romance" in the sequel please... (Sound of a gunshot followed by the loud thump of my body hitting the floor)

Well as far as how long it takes to get to Paradise, well we just dont know... We cant assume it is near LV 223 as it could be the other side of the Galaxy, as much as 100'000 Light Years... which would mean it would take Prometheus over 5000 years. Thats not to say that Paradise is that far, but thats roughly the furthest you could travel in our Galaxy. We have to consider why no Engineers have been back to LV 223 or Earth since the outbreak on LV 223... have the Elders or who ever is on Paradise simply forgot about us, not known about us or dont care either way. Having Paradise being a vast distance away could help answer some of the above. I would be very surprised if Paradise is so close that the Earth Technology ships could travel to the place. I think it would be somewhere far away that it would take hundreds of years for the latest Space Ships in Alien 3 to travel to.

There is of course the possibility that Paradise is a constructed planet just passing through different galaxies, in the hope of finding real planets to influence life, and on occasion set up outposts. Therefore, Paradise is a constructed myth (so to speak). If you go back to the development of Alien3, Renny Harlin and David Giler discussed the possibility of going back to the Aliens home world. David Giler can bee seen to say on the making of Alien3 DVD (back then), “… we talked about the planet of the aliens, back in those days would have cost too much money. Now you could do, I’d like to see Ridley do that”. When Vincent Ward was brought on board, he introduced the idea of a constructed planet, along with the idea of a brotherhood that had its own religion. The idea of gothic monks in space, imo seems to dovetail into how Prometheus is developing and maybe offer ansight into the direction Paradise might take. The idea of having Danny Webb being introduced as a topic of discussion may not be that wide off the mark. Perhaps something has been overheard somewhere with regards to the development of Paradise, but chinese whispers have brought something up that at present may be considered as a rumour, but also may have an element of truth to it, especially if you look back at some of the ideas that were going back and forth during the development of Alien3.

Okay! I have an idea! You know how in that show Doctor Whooo the main character is some sort of time bandit god thing. Maybe Morse is that thing! No seriously, there is either 3 possible explanations: 1. Ridley and the Prometheus team are bored trying to come up with ideas and are just trying to get a reaction from us. After seeing the featured videos in the Prometheus special edition we now know that these guys check out AVP galaxy and our website. 2. Morse for whatever reason is in this movie and his story of the great red dragon, which is the deacon, is correct. I had earlier posts that compared the Xenomorph to the great red dragon from the Bible. SO it is possible. But very, very, very unlikely. 3. I don't know, therefore, ALIENS. Note: It is possible for #2, however never underestimate the power of human boredom.

oh by the way, there is a possibility that it could be Morse Senior or that Shaw and David have gone back in time. In Ancient Aliens, it talks about aliens going back in time... If anyone cares... you know... "ALIENS"
