Yes that Sacrificed Host does look like a Birdy Xeno in the one Prometheus Fresco.... But that may not be a beak it could be Mandibles like of a Ant, now Ridley Described the Xeno as a Insect and Ant before.
Then again look at the Birdy Xeno again and it also could be Mandibles and not a Beak.
On the Star Beast Mural what comes out of it, is similar to what Star Beast Describes the creature as at Adult Stage... It also looks to me a lot like Shaws Baby Trillobite at Adult Stage before it Face Hugged the Engineer.
When we are looking at Murals however we need to think which one are we looking at and can we draw a line to join all 3?
has Legs etc Part Humanoid and Part Octopus.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Star Beast Mural...
This Shaws some Organism is Sacrificed to Produce some Octopoid Creature the Sacrificed Organism does look a bit like the Birdy Xeno in Prometheus Fresco.
We have to go by Star Beast Script that describes the Pilot as a Skeleton that does not resemble a Human at all, could this mean that they are similar to what the Star Beast Mural Shows as the Host? Could this be a Prophecy of events to befell the Alien Race who found the temple.
Clues from the Script seem to show this Race accidentally came across the Temple and tried to take some Urns to their ship to Study.... thus i dont think the Mural shows one of these being Sacrificed but some other creature.
Script describes the temple as showing a Life Cycle that starts with Face Huger Octipoid to then a Chest Buster creature thats like a snake/worm with legs, to then a small creature with tentacles and then finally the Big One a Creature that is Octipoid looking that also has Legs etc Part Humanoid and Part Octopus.
We have no clues to how and where the original Urns come from, only that they are kept inside the temple and the temple was used as some kind of breeding ground for the Organism via Sacrificial Ritual.
We are shown the Life Cycle Repeats so more Spores as they call them come next.... we do see a Egg Morph Scene latter but again like with Alien one, there is a discrepancy in description and size of the Urn/Eggs via Morph... unless they shrink down latter?
---------------------------------------------------------------
Alien Mural.... this was never shown but they did want to include it in the Derelict.
This Giger Mural shows us a life Cycle, it shows the Face Huger in Egg, then a Space Suited being (and unmasked in other version Bald Human Being) that is opening the Egg to release the Face Huger onto another of its kind on a Altar/Table and said Victim being Face Hugged ... then we are shown a Chest Buster that is not like the one in Alien, it looks kinda more worm like with legs.
Now the biggest part of that Mural is the Eye that the Egg appears to come from, and the Eye is the center of some strange creature, that one end has a head like the Xenos..... we can see the shape of this creature/thing is the same as the Derelict.
Now Giger goes onto say his idea was the Derelict Egg Silo/Cargo hold had Pregnant bellies on the Walls that lay the Eggs and he even did a concept work to show this... now add this to the Giger Mural for Alien and the Derelict and it appears that the Xeno Eggs are produced by the Derelict Ship.
But as the Mural is not part of the movie and was not shown, we can only go by the Alien movie having a Ship full of Cargo of Eggs that came from a unknown source, Alien DC showed the Xeno can Morph people to a Egg.... but a larger one than those stored in the Ship.
And from Aliens onwards we get that a Queen can lay the same Eggs as found in the Derelict.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Prometheus Mural.....
Where do we start lol.... the mural is not as flowing as the Giger Alien one, but shows more than the Star Beast one that was drawn (not going by description in script).
To me the outline looks like a Traditional Egg, we can make out in the forefront a Xeno-Esque Figure the Deacon. We see the Mural is a symmetric mirrored image of sorts... And we can make out what appears to be a Humanoid thats Bald being Face Hugged by a Face Huger that is pretty much same as on Gigers Original Mural for Alien.
Thus different to the Traditional Face Huger, it is a mix of what looks like Traditional Face Huger with Shaws Baby Squid with a head like Birdy Xeno Fresco...
What connection and order is unknown....
Does it show that the Deacon comes from Egg and Face Hugers from Deacon?
Does it show the Face Hugers come from Eggs then results in Deacon?
Or does it show the Deacon, then makes Face Huger or Egg in that order of vice versa.
Its hard to say but i go with Egg = Face Huger = Deacon.
But there are many other elements to the Mural that is so Ambiguous its like looking at clouds and each person can make out of it all manner of things different to what someone else can.
There are some points that look a bit like Birdy Xeno...
Now onto Fresco, the one features a Engineer that looks like he has a wound on him like described to what happened to Prometheus....
Next to him is the Birdy Xeno that is poses in a submissive position or one of a fetal thus indicating Baby/Birth. This Fresco has the whole God and Adam one about it in which case the Engineer is in the position of God and Birdy Xeno in that of Adam.
Connection? who knows but seems to show maybe Birdy Xeno comes from the Engineer?
Then we have the Egg Fesco, this was not fully seen in the movie as it was breaking down.... what the full one shows is a traditional Xeno Egg, that is opening up and his being held by Traditional Xeno Hand....
This ant no Urn, its not no Egg Morph it is the Xeno Egg from Alien and Aliens and every movie in franchise since, and its held not by Deacon hands, not by the Birdy Hands but Traditional Xeno Hands by that same as Alien and Aliens and all movies since.
Connection.... who knows, to me it could show that the Xeno can carry the Eggs and maybe either place them in Cargo Holds or Place them near the Sacrificial Host.... well i just assume as it just shows a Xeno carrying a Egg.
We can assume with no consequences for the Xeno, but assume doing this would be hazardous to Humans, Engineers etc.
So you see the Prometheus Mural is one that is confusing especially if you add the Frescos into the Mix..
