The Anunnaki were on the earth in those days--and also afterward--when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, mighty men of high reno

Pre Prometheus, Ridley was enthusiastic and talked about how good it felt to return to Sci-fi and gave the impression that things would move very quickly towards a sequel or sequels.
Post Prometheus, due to it's mixed reaction, I wonder if Ridley feels disappointed, and that, perhaps is why he has thrown himself into other projects rather than get on with continuing the story?
I feel really sad, because given how Brandywine/Fox interfered with ALIEN, he probably felt that after the passage of time and his development as a highly regarded director, that they would have just trusted him and let him get on with it. He gives his all to these projects and is totally focused and committed, yet still has to contend with budget restraints and studio interference.
I just hope he hasn't lost all enthusiasm for the project. Given that he started it all with ALIEN, it would be great to have him finish it with a new trilogy.
