Am I going crazy or is Fox secretly making little updates in prep for Prometheus 2?

It may be a miniscule detail...but I'd say it could have huge implications!

Yeah, could be that they're making a move finally. I check online almost every day for news updates on Ridley, Noomi and Fassbender, and as of late, news updates have almost come to a stand-still.

Usually, Ridley has got several projects on the go at the same time, but at the moment he is working on Get Santa, as an executive producer and has a tv film in pre-production, that's it.

He must be involved with other projects apart from the two mentioned! And i have a strong feeling that he's already started pre-production on Prometheus 2.

We will find out soon enough.

A couple people have mentioned the updates this past month. So no it's not just you.

I hope you're right Necronom about the preproduction. It has been way too quiet for too long imo, regarding anything remotely P2

Hopefully this is a sign that things will start moving again soon. All the work that was put into the Prometheus viral campaign was awesome.

I'm also thinking pre-production is already underway, if they wanna shoot for fall 2015.

I would say they would come the movie Prometheus: Paradise... or use some other name that could be connected to the plot in some way and that being the trip to the Engineers place of Origin for answers.

I think they would use the Prometheus prefix so that people can make a connection that this is part of the same franchise, this may deter some viewers and casual people who never got or understood Prometheus or had any idea it was connected to Alien much, i.e the casual viewing public who may saw Prometheus as a very weird new Sci Fi movie.

So there is a chance that they could even drop the Prometheus name, so that they can maybe fool some of those who never liked Prometheus that this is again another movie.

But the Alien and Prometheus fans would still recognise the movie as part of the franchise.

And it would not surprise me if they have already worked out the locations they wish to shoot the movie and so indeed around about now it would not surprise me if the artist onboard would have been working with Ridley to thrash ideas of where they are going and what look they want for the movie i.e what does Paradise look like etc.

Remeber: big things have small beginnings...

I do not know how they keep so many details about a movie secret; but, I know this for sure if this an indication that they are ready to start filming or advancing other projects in prep to start filming I have my doubts as to them releasing anything too early. 

There is this strange marking problem in Hollywood. Either producers like to keep everything about a film as a closely guarded secret as possilbe because of compeditors or if they need to make changes they can. 

Yet in the last several years there has been a change in how early a film gets marketted, somtimes years before the film is to be released. A good example of this is Tron 2.

I personally think they are taking way too long to release second instalments and then they reveal way too much in the all the trialers. I have stopped watching a lot of trailers now for fear that it could hurt my viewing experience in the theater.

I am (&*^%$#!!! phhhhhhhhitttt! shaking angry hand in air at how much they showed in the trialers for Robo Cop 2. If a trialer is more than three minutes I will never watch it at all.
