Ridley Scott chats to Steve Wright about where he is up to at the present

I'm guessing he'll reveal his next directorial gig a few months after Martian wraps shooting. We must be patient (more than we already are!).

I have to agree with you. I don't think Ridley will be pooling questions until well after the martian.

Yep seems so, we shall after the Martian is out, we would get more clues as to his schedule we have to remember Ridley does not just take part on big movies, he has a lot of small projects he plays parts in...

What is interesting is he is working on a short movie with Fassbender based in space next year...... is this so? or a smoke screen to start work on some scenes with David 8

He said he finishes 'The Martian' in mid-March so I suspect we'll start to hear about 'Prometheus 2' (or 'Blade Runner 2' if he directs that next) early spring, 2015.

Did he specify whether he finishes shooting or post-production in March? Because a 5-month shoot would be quite epic by Ridley's standards.

The date of the interview is December 23, 2014.  Ridley specifically says, "I've done 50% of a movie called 'The Martian'... I finish that mid-March".

Considering he started pre-production on it in June/July of 2014, the movie was fully storyboarded by August and he began shooting in November 2014, I would say he is referring to post-production.

So, my guess is March/April timeframe for some news about 'P2P' or 'BR2'.
