AdminEngineerMar-02-2015 2:07 PMThanks for sharing this, I just wrote an article about it here! Very interesting news for sure, I agree with him though, the series took a very different turn after Aliens. My enthusiasm towards this film only continues to grow by the day!

MemberOvomorphMar-02-2015 2:28 PMThat reminds me of something I've heard of before:
"I’m a humongous fan of ALIEN and PREDATOR. I think you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who’s seen those movies as many times as I have."
~ Neil Blom... no, wait, that was Paul Anderson
Fox says Aliens: Colonial Marines is canon, but that stuff doesn't really matter anyway. They'll do or say whatever they need to in order to make a new product for people to see.
The one thing I don't like is how "going off the rails" kinda dismisses Fincher's contributions to Alien 3, who I credit with nearly saving that movie before Fox butchered it.
What might be interesting to see is if ol' Neil will bring in some of the docu-drama elements of District 9 into the Alien franchise, although I'd rather he just make a really thrilling space movie.
