Ridley Scott interviewed by Collider about Prometheus 2!

We have to be careful with what we read into this comment.... its vague and Ambigious and can mean anything really...

If we take it at Face Value, then Ridley could be implying that Shaw may find out what the Bio Weapons they was creating on LV 223 were for... the movie kind of showed us that it was for us... but as David said it could be a matter of to create one must first destroy.

They needed these Bio Weapons? (well biology and bacteriology) this could imply the Goo, to protect them... from who?   Maybe it could be us, if Mankind showed signs of Rebelion and if we was evolving in a way and learning things the Engineers did not want us to learn, they could have seen us as a threat.... a What if Scenerio.... one which Ultimately proves to be the case in the END, as Mankind is able to Advance itself to a degree to Travel Space, and not only that create beings that are not flesh and blood who can read Engineers Language and even use their Technology...

Mankind can not be allowed to travel the starts this is reserved for the Gods, and certainly Mankind can not be allowed to get its hands on any more Engineer Secrets.. which Ultimately Mankind could do if they go to LV 223.

Things Ridley had said in the past backs this up, including the whole Comment about Space Jesus and 2000 years ago... which he really meant to imply we had offended and rebelled against the Engineers in a way that they deemed was to far and Punishment was in order...

But if we read into Ridleys comments and take into account others from past and recently about the Whole.... Engineers bieng not every benevolent, about them being Fallen Angels... and if we have to ask how does Prometheus Myth Tie in, what connection do the Frescos Bare...  

Then Maybe the Engineers are in fear of retribution for something they had done agaisnt their own Gods... or Creators... or Creator?

We cant be sure, Ridley did sugest that the are trying to touch upon that if our Engineers are creators and do so via the methods we see in the movie, we have to ask why and for what purpose and what allowed all this and what allowed those Worlds these Engineers Seeded, to be able to support life... that how come Worlds have to be in the right Sweet Spot to Support Life......

Ridley was possing the Question who is behind this... who is the Big Guy?

Ridley  had hinted that Shaw will meet God. or Gods, but they would not be a God in the traditional Sense or what Shaw would think of a God, Rappace even said they could be meating the Devil..... thus in context of the Plot... either a Evil Supreme Being or Race... or a Being or Race who overthrown the head of their Race or their creators.

Looking at other comments, and timeframe Ridley Gave for LV 223 and the Space Jockey, with these new Comments and comment he made about something Evolved on the Space Jockeys Ship......  We could be lead to this evil biology (Xeno or Related Stuff) could be a result of Experiments on or even itself the Black Goo (bacteriology).

Certainly a interesting comment that when you add into other comments and Prometheus and Alien etc... leads us again as this Movie always does with a VERY OPEN Plot...

But in looking at his comments... and trying to fit them in, and with other Comments he has made about the Sequel and so not about the Space Jockey... and only using his comments, here is a list of what Pretty Much we look to be seeing in Prometheus 2... at least as far as Plot Points.

1) David and Shaw will be leaving to find Paradise or at least a place that is a important place for the Engineers as far as their Agenda and  Hierarchy.

2) They will find God/Devil/ Godlike beings, who are prehapse not the Engineers and above the Engineers in the Hierarchy. These beings are far from Benevolent and not God in the Traditional Sense.

3) The Movie will in part answer why these Enginees had and was working on such Evil Bio Weapons and Experiments and what Agenda at the very least those on LV 223 had with such things and maybe even what purpose and Agenda those on Paradise have with them too.

4) Our Engineers could be working to the Will of some other Higher Power and are merely Tools and Servants to serve the Agenda of who ever these Higher Biengs or Bieng is...  there pupose is for the Creation of Life... but the Engineers are a Tool and part of this, they are part of a Chain... but someone else at the Helm of all this, and maybe they are not quite like the Engineers but are also very powerful and may have played a part in the creation of Worlds, and not just behind Life upon them.

5) These beings and the Engineers have maybe created or teraformed Millions of Worlds, and then seeded and evolved Life on them, and some of the Life Forms are Humandoid... and indeed Human... and we may not be the only Humans in the Galaxy (potential for us to see other Humans on other Worlds?).

6) The movie will introduce new Species... this may not also mean Plural and so it may not be a case of oh who ever created the Engineers, or even some new kind of Monster... it could be either or Both or even much more too.

7) David is bringing Hell with him, (Engineer Ship and Cargo) and what happens if that Biological Goo is used on God? or a Machine?  Which means David is going to unleash this stuff on the Engineers, their creator? Himself or maybe other creations of these Engineers and their Rulers.

8) The movie will feature at least ONE MONSTER that would be related to the Xeno but different a more Fresher Form of the Original Alien Monster...

9) The movie will try and go deep behind creation and how it is not quite as the theory of Evolution and Big Bang has it or indeed how a Magical God Creates all from Nothing... but SOMETHING ELSE... SOMETHING BOLD  that may losely connect both the different explanations for Creation of the Galaxy and all that is within it...

10) There will be a 3rd movie... yes, i think so the are touching up on so many different things all these links and hints the depth they are going with the Engineers and other creations.. never mind maybe clearing up some lose ends between Prometheus and Alien....   AND THE BIG CLUE..... So the questions are answered there, or rather, beginning to be answered in Prometheus 2.

So is he going to then Answer some Questions by leaving more even more bigger ones unsloved.... and leave Prometheus and Prometheus 2 with some half answered questions....  or is there a 3rd movie at least that would futher finish off what is beginning to be Answered in Prometheus 2...?

Thats what i have devulged from all comments he has made about the movie over the last few years and above is a vague picture of what these have painted for me.

Wow! Very cool ...Hints of a new creature...another big baddie!

What about the Deacon? Has that story ended? Poor Deacon..no one to kill...Maybe some sleeping Engineers.

What is the major plot point? They already used Earth nearly getting destroyed(goo'ed)....I doubt they can play that card again(Prometheus 2: 'This time Earth is REALLY in danger!!!' Captain Janek's son saves the day!)...Can they? What else would be worth fighting for?

This all sounds very promising!
