ALIEN: THE PREQUEL!

I would like to start this topic with the aim to discuss the direction and expectations of what is now seeming to gear towards a Alien Prequel well eventually.....

But let’s start with the news that broke years ago about a Alien Prequel that Ridley Scott was working on, i am sure many Sci-Fi and indeed Alien fans was excited about such a Movie, and Ridley is returning back to Sci-Fi and a Prequel to his Masterpiece that was Alien.... but where would a Prequel Take us? Was the Nostromo in 2122 the first contact between Mankind and the Xenomorph Organism? Its seemed not the case as Ash did know a bit about the Organism and Special Order 937.

So we may have wondered how was that so? How much did the company know, because in Aliens they did not seem to know much, or did they?

But then we have seen the Xeno meets Humans via Weyland-Yutani shenanigans before...

So what people really wanted to know was a few other Mysteries left over from Alien Franchise, and in Particular the Space Jockey and Alien Story....

Which is why Ridley started to work on the project, he said himself that after so many sequels no one touched upon who the Space Jockey was, what was he doing there and why that Cargo... this was the theme he based for starting a Alien Prequel... has has recently came out and said he had ideas of how he would have done a Alien 2 and would have explored such Questions.

So here related to that were the main Questions regarding the Space Jockey, his Ship and Cargo....

1) Who was the Space Jockey? His Purpose? Where was he from? His Race and will we find out more about who he and his Race were and what role they play in the Universe of the Franchise?

2) Why was he carrying that Cargo, what was his intentions and destination before things went badly for him? What was the purpose of that Ship and its Cargo?  

This one we kind of have hints from the Franchise but this is only as far as potential use for the Evil Earth Companies...

3) Where did the Space Jockey get that Cargo from, did they create it? did they come across it? Was they always a Weapon or was they carrying out experiments on the Cargo? Was the Cargo Always Eggs? If not then how else did they get there?

Ultimately where did the Xeno Originate from?

4) What happened to the Space Jockey, his Story his Tale? How, When and Why... how did and why did he crash or land on LV 426 and why and for whom was the Signal he set off.

The previous Questions could answer who he was, where he came from and was going to and for what purpose....

But as far as what happened to him, again the movie Franchise gave us enough Clues without Ridley having to tell us.. and this was that he most likely suffered the same fate as Kane did... but how? Surely he should have known about the Cargo, and he was not unaware of it as the crew of the Nostromo was?

Then we have further Questions which are linked to answering Question 4...

5) How did the Space Jockey get infected and when, surely there would have been safeguards in place... like what was the purpose of the Blue Myst that seemed to act as a Barrier in the Cargo Hold?

6) What caused the Acid Burn Hole that lead from the Pilot Chamber to the Egg Chamber? We know its most likely a Xeno related Organism, but its a large hole much larger than we see from a wounded Xenomorph in the Franchise apart from the one in Alien Resurrection that was badly wounded by its fellow Xenos to plan a Escape..

Who wounded the Chest Buster if it did get wounded?

But here is the thing!! Surely a Chest Buster would not make such a massive leak of Acid from being Killed! and even if it could have Secreted Acid, its only in AVP that we see a Xeno Spit Acid... but then a Face Huger can spit Acid as it used this to get onto Kanes Face...

7) Where did the Chest Buster Go? Did it go down the Hole made by Acid Burn? Why would it go into the Cargo Hold and could it have laid the Eggs? or was they already there? or did it play some role in what became those Eggs?

8) Why was the Cargo Hold Vastly larger and deeper than the Derelict Ship?

These are the main Questions about the Space Jockey and Xeno Origins...

Maybe these things the Fans to a degree wanted to know.... and to a lesser degree which Ridley attempted to Address with the ideas that he and Spaights came up with as far as Alien Engineers, which showed our Space Jockeys to be a Space suit worn by a Race of 15ft Tall Humanoids, who indeed had a role in the creation and experimentation on Bio Weapons related to Xeno DNA....

But they also showed us these Engineers created and experimented on Mankind and indeed may had played a role in creation of many Life forms.... For what Purpose?

Fox had felt that the Xeno had been covered enough and the ideas about the Engineers creating Mankind, is a interesting one that they wished to further explore... and Lindeloff and Ridley sat down and changed Spaights draft to concentrate more on the Engineers and the role they had with Mankind and creation and how Mankind may have worshiped them as Gods at one point and the Engineers had taken a lot of time with us and for some purpose that was beneficial to their own kind...

But we had at some point became Rebellious we have disobeyed and behaved in ways these Engineers was not pleased with and 2000 years ago was the last straw and time to destroy us... or replace us with something else... or did they come across something else that was more Perfect Genetically to be used as the Base Seed DNA as opposed to the Engineers own?

They ended up with a movie that tried to start to answer Question 1, and very loosely give links to Question 3.. whereas before it was to answer Question 3 more than Question 1... maybe it was also trying to answer Question 4 or show similar event but not the same.

The above movie Prometheus was what we got, and we was given some answers but left with many more questions, and also some of the questions from the purpose for even starting on a Alien Prequel were left unanswered.... and it appeared Part 2 to Promethues would further step away from the Alien and Xeno connections and concentrate on our Engineers, where they are from, what was there Agenda.. why create us and then destroy us.... and what is behind everything these Engineers was doing... as opposed to why create the Xeno and Biology that was on LV 223 and LV 426 but maybe be the time this 2nd movie is done, we may see a 3rd that could loosely give us those answers to a LV 223 and LV 426 connection and the Xeno Origins or how our Engineers came to be connected with them.

But some of the latest comments now suggest that Ridley could be going on a path that is set to answer not only who the Engineers are, but the Xeno as far as why they created such things which is all very interesting...

But Ridley has also said the end aim is to get back to Alien, to go there via the Back Door.. whatever he means by that and to ultimately give us answers to Why and How and When the Space Jockey had that Cargo and maybe what became of him..... will this be loosely? or literally....

And how do you feel about such a link and change.... do you welcome this for part 2 or 3? Do you want to see subtle clues or full blown answers and maybe Space Jockey Story?

Was the idea to side track from   Engineers ==> Create Xeno ==> use on Earth.... to go backwards... What is the Engineers History/Culture ==> Agenda ==> Creation of Mankind and thus step away from Alien movie..... and explore larger things that these Engineers and their Hierarchy have created or been behind.. they are not merely a Race who created the Xeno and Mankind and wished to unleash the Xeno on us for some reason.....

Ridley hinted bigger things behind the Engineers, are we the only creation? is Earth the only place that Mankind have been placed/created on? Why do these Engineers create, and why do they destroy and as Ridley hinted... what the bigger picture... creation is no Accident or series of events from a single event... its not even purely coincidence that certain planets are in the right Zone to support life in the first place....

Big Big things from Small beginnings..... this is what i thought we would see...

And i hope we dont go the route of Sacrificing such things, purely to draw us down the line to how the Xeno came to be, and the Space Jockey on LV 426 Story and God forbid... bring Ripley into the Franchise before the events of Alien!
