The Covenant is coming into the story and will have a good deal of setting up to do. What story are they coming into the story of Paradise (Lost) and Davids journey.
I would expect the prologue to deal with one or other of these two positioning elements and if I had to put money on it it would be David and Shaw being set up for their story. By the end of the prologue we will know David is good to go and Shaw is vulnerable.
A big historic opening of Paradise gives the game away and feels like a repeat of Prometheus. Thats a story we will see the result of and probably conjecture as the story of the Xeno is revealed.
If Elizabeth was to this movie what Ripley was to A 3 I would expect us dwelling on her emotional arc but she is a plot device so that would not be my expectation.
