Incredible Artwork By Alien: Covenant Concept Artist Dane Hallett

Great finds, I love Hallett's work. I doubt any of the artwork featured here is actual Covenant concept art, however I wouldn't be surprised if this work was used as inspiration or as a prerequisite for the project.

The female/Alien concept makes me think of the fan theory which suggested Shaw actually becomes a Humanoid Alien type, as a result of David's experiments.

I can confirm the pieces are not from Covenant, however they are amazing. I've edited the title so as not to confuse readers, though.

The artwork is amazing but to draw breasts and a belly is to cater to alien resurrection sorry I cannot support that.  Any alien even gestated in a human had no human features.  When the designer decided to "put their own spin"(and yes that's what they said on the bluray extras) on the xenomorph in ARes they got it WRONG.

The one where she's shoving that thing down dudes throats basically looks like what I imagine the bird creature from the fresco looks like.  

Theyre all amazing though.  And for the white Alien I think the breasts make it look even more terrifying.  It's kind of uncanny.  Like something is just off about it and it makes it creepy!  Not so much the biomechanical one though.  

These are very interesting concepts well art work, Dane
certainly is a HR Giger Fan, and its maybe Coincidence he is working on Alien Covenant.

But looking at the work he does, and the Xeno/Giger style he brings and also loosely less Bio-Mechanical variants its likely he has worked as Creature Designer and while these surely wont be in Alien Covenant i think we can see similar theme passed over.

Whats interesting is a lot of his work he recently released is that Xeno/Giger kind of DNA Look but also Female...

Maybe we cant read into it much, but we do have to wonder what happens to Shaw... and the Source who released some information way way before we got Alien Covenant Announced did suggest a few things... such as Shaw does not Technically die, and only plays a small part (but hints at pivotal one).. They also said that without Sin as in context of Paradise Lost there would be no Xenomorph.  If this is Sin as in Satans Daughter.

Well you could say those pieces of work could be a Alien Franchise link to Satans Daughter or what maybe happens to Shaw that would drive the Plot and yet see her Technically not dead.

But we dont know if the source was correct, and also even if it was we dont know how much the Plot has changed from Paglen/Green works Final Draft to the any number of revisions and changes that Logan had made.

If any of these pieces of work carry a similar theme to what Dane had worked on for Covenant or maybe the movie prior to any Logan Changes, we cant be sure... if the Plot did feature a Satans Daughter or Transformed Shaw that was worked on but these ideas had been changed/dropped then i guess Dane could release related concept works?

Not quite sure what you meant, due to the wording.. i assume that maybe you mean these pieces of work dont look like something born from a Host like in Alien as the Aliens born from Face Huggers look more Bio-Mechanical.

Thats correct, but we have to remember Prometheus introduced us to the Black Goo and so when we are looking at what contact with the Black Goo can do, depending on how much volume/contact with the substance then we get Organisms that loosely have Xeno DNA

The Alternative Fifields for example and other concepts and props from Prometheus that was never used, and so its not beyond the realms of possibility that a Human or Engineer Female that is infected with the Black Goo could lead to something similar to the designs posted in the OT

Here are some that got as far as sculptures and props that we never saw in Prometheus which is why we cant 100% expect those leaked Alien Covenant Prop/Monsters to appear.

These were results of Black Goo and so imagine these kind of designs but Female

So i think it would be interesting to see what actual work Dane has done and i feel no soon as the movie is out and DVD ready to come out then the Concept Artist would be free to upload their work and maybe it would be included on the Extras

Somehow, the very top image and the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th images are very close to what I am expecting from A:C - something REALLY ghastly and frightening. Something that will be burned into our nightmares for years.

Indeed the other image is a bit Bio-Mechanical and so like Sil/Eve from the Species movies.... not that wont be a bad thing.

I think two of those images are a bit too Human... but they are or could be disturbing and they do have that Alien Resurrection New Born look as far as how much Xeno DNA... similar but less Xeno.

Now i know you may think the New Born was rubbish.... its the way it behaved that made it a bit rubbish... but what i mean is some of the New Born Concept work rocked.

The disappointment mainly was with the Head and its Personality.

This version above however would have been much better, here we see a Xeno/Human Hybrid that has little Xeno DNA well it has but it lacks any real Bio-mechanical looks.

A Combination of this Atheistic and the below Work by Dane would certainly be Fantastic.

And one leaked Prop from Alien Covenant certain fits this bill to a degree.... we see this looks like something that has or is in the process of evolving from Human to Xeno-Type Organism... similar to maybe how some of the alternative Fifield concepts was transformed.

This however looks some part not formed too..... so it could well be what would happen if say a Pregnant Female of say 6-8 weeks was to have her Fetus infected with the Black Goo.. again that would be very disturbing..

I think having a Female infected with the Goo somehow and not know.. i.e like Holloway was... maybe this could be from Spores... and then see her unborn Child become effected...

Imagine a Intimate scene between a couple where the Female is so many weeks Pregnant... then they have a intimate scene and she then Tummy Bursts a Hyrbid... that would hands down beat the Alien Chest Buster Scene.

And certainly be a way i would explore so called Spore infection if i was writing the Draft... than the Spores infect a host and produce just a single Organism Neomorph that bursts from the back etc.
