Covenant Crew Cannot Survive...

MemberOvomorphDecember 28, 2016I have watched this trailer about 50 million times. Just as I watched every trailer for Alien when I was 12 years old, whenever they popped up on TV. The crew of the Covenant cannot survive or anyone go back to earth! We know from prior movies that there was no life reported on LV-426 in Aliens. And at the inquest Ripley was told "You found something NEVER RECORDED ONCE ON OVER 300 SURVEYED WORLDS..."
So either the Company lied to Ripley, the Company at that time had no true knowledge of the Alien, or the prior Administration buried all evidence of what they did to the Nostromo, based upon the incidents of the Covenant, and they did not want to expose their prior failures.
I personally think the egg in Covenant is Shaw. David did something to her during their trip to the Engineers home world. The ship then crashed before reaching that destination. Much like the unreleased version of Alien, how the crew were transformed into eggs, David has done this to Shaw. The egg we see in Covenant is HUGE!! Not like those in Alien. I believe that Shaw's DNA, based upon what she gave birth to in Prometheus, leaves her susceptible to becoming the first egg based face hugger. Because David was somehow able to get her to consume the black goo.
Shaw's egg, her as face hugger, is probably so large because it is a queen birthing egg.
I think that is also what happened to the Space Jockey in Alien. It was somehow impregnated with a queen. The melted hole in the floor of the ship that leads to the cargo hold below is created by the queen. This would be where her egg sac penetrated the flooring so she could lay all the eggs below.
Kane gave birth to a warrior. A warrior would be first born to protect the queen. It did not know the queen was dead. She must have laid all eggs she could, set herself free of the egg sac, and left the ship to die on LV-426 somewhere that no one from the Nostromo found the remains.
I think it would be cool to see the queen born. Her warriors come soon after, and they attach themselves to her like additional appendages. When she opens her arms the warriors detach from her body to defend her. And they also control the drones in the hive.
