Ranking The Alien films from best to worst

This can change from time to time but right now it is like this:

1. Alien 3 (both versions) 4.5/5
2. Alien (1979) 4/5
3. Aliens (1986) 3,5/5
4. Prometheus (2012) 2/5
5. Alien Resurrection (1997) 2/5
6. AVP 1,5/5

I am not sure if I shall put AR or Prometheus on 4 or 5. There are times when I feel that AR is better and sometimes Prometheus is better. AVP is a movie that I have watched once and I wasn’t really enjoying it that much, haven’t watched it since.

Can you explain the number system?Also i take you haven't seen Requim.If you haven't then your definitely not missing anything.

No problems, Alien 3 is my favorite and so on. I give it a point between 1-5 with 5 being the highest score. Thanks for asking so we could clear that up. Requim is a movie that I haven't watched and I do not plan to do so.

3. Alien Resurrection - nostalgic reasons, beautiful, interesting concept

4. Alien 3 - I do not consider A3 bad at all, it's good, just my least favorite Alien film.

Here's mine                                                                                           Aliens:My all time  favorite movie                                                                         Alien:The greatest sci fi film of the 70's                                                                                                                       Prometheus:A little misunderstood at times,but I loved it's dark new vision                                                                            Alien Resurrection:Also nostalgic reasons.I was 7 years old when the movie came out and was lucky enough to see it in theaters.It's still a fun movie to watch.                                                                     Alien 3:It took the assembly cut for me to truly appreciate this one.I enjoy more and more every time i watch it.To be honest 3 and Resurrection are interchangeable depending on my mood.                                                                                   AVP:saw it in theaters at age 14  and thought it was the coolest thing.Fast forward to 27,can't say i feel thay way anymore.                                                                                     AVP:Requiem:Pure crap,plain and simple.

 I have no idea why my ranking looks that way.

 I should also add that thanks to the AVP movies you can rank the Predator movies as well.

Then I would put Predator after A3 and just before AVP. I didn't care for the other Predator movies.

Wow Spitehouse ours are almost identical!For Predator placement,i would probably place Predator with 3 and Resurrection.Predator 2 and Predators above the AVP Films.

It doesn't make sense to include the predator films. The only reason that we are doing AVP after all is because the Alien is in them. It's illogical to include the Predator films.

Aliens- I've seen this movie more times than any other movie. Like most James Cameron movies, there's something for everyone. The set, direction, pacing, and creature effects are all top notch. A masterpiece.

Alien- Great movie, excellent combination of horror/suspense. Claustrophobic and memorable, leaves a lasting impression.

Alien3- This was my first theatre experience with the franchise,  i do enjoy this movie. The cgi takes away from the horror, but still a solid entry. Great set design.

Alien Resurrection- Also saw this in theatres. It's the "fun" movie of the series. Seeing the newborn for the first time was terrifying, in a good way. Again, awesome set and creature effects.

Prometheus- This is the first, and only Imax3d movie I've seen. Intriguing story, excellent first act, then goes downhill. I like it, but i admittedly spent too much time on the Prometheus message board. We all hyped it up so far, it was sure to let us down. Also wish i wouldn't have seen it in 3d, the glasses are distracting because it hurts my eyes. Still a solid sci-fi movie, cgi is good, Fassbender is excellent.

Ranking predator is not essential.You can if you want to but otherwise its not necessary.I just said you can thanks to the fact that they are predator films just as much as they are Alien.In some cases more predator than alien.

And Requiem continues to be on the bottom of everybody's list.That's a testament to how bad it is lol.

Although i must encourage Requiem fans there's no reason to hide.You will not be judged.

alien 5/5 just awesome, timeless classic

predator 4.8 again a classic and very well done in such a difficult location

aliens 4.7 think Cameron made a good call going more action so to not be seen to be doing just the same as ridley. though the xenos were very well designed, the sheer fact of seeing so many and that, with the right equipment, they do get theyr a$$ handed to them for a bit, aliens took some of the horror factor away from the xeno

Prometheus 4.65 lol I was disappointed when ridley changed his mind as I was really looking forward to an alien prequel but I think he made the right choice in the long run. watched as a stand alone movie and I thought it was excellent. holes yes but  holes yet to be answered?

its just total gash and a from to both franchises. the concept of avp is good but the way they were done was awful. requiem was just awful, possibly my 2nd most hated movie of all time, closely following shark exorcism I think its called

Shark Exorcism?

I think that's what its called though maybe wrong, its like a syfy made low budget movie where a spirit possesses a great white. u don't actually see the shark kill anyone at all. even in one scene, some voodoo practicing chick is rolling around on the ground, worst acting ever, and a man is on a bridge. the shark obv jumps and gets him but it doesn't show u the shark approach, jump or any blood in the water, just some idiot girl rolling around

That does sound pretty ridiculous and syfy worthy.
