No that entry is pretty accurate.  It's properly referenced to canonical materials.

The only question is whether the marines were shagging the indigenous species of Arcturus, or the human colonists as it could be either.

As a former Marine (US, not Colonial) I can perhaps clear this up for you.  When Marines get into port they are looking for poon-tang.  Being in a highly inebriated state, they are frequently not very picky about it.  The fact that they may occasionally get a transgender is a hilarious joke to them.  It has nothing to do with your LGBT "rights" movement.  Now what the motivation of the producers and writers is- unknown.  However, I would ASSume they are in tune with the subject matter enough to know what a joke this would be to these guys.  If you want to tout this as a "win for your side", hey go right ahead; just know in a real warrior society, this would be treated as humorous mis-adventure, not affirmation of your lifestyle choice.  No offense to anyone, just the fact of the matter!
