engineers in cryo

the dead end clearly shows the pup cant map through walls or doors and the ping is located within its mapped area.

also the shreak heard during the hologram suggests something else was there with the engineers so where did it go?

deleted scenes r purposely put in the extras to show u the mind set of where the director was going. the skin and the shreek suggest that ridley is saying a deacon/ xeno or something else is down there

There isn't a strong belief that they were under attack from the Xenomorph

What makes you think it has to have mapped an area to pick up a lifeform reading?  It uses lasers for mapping - which can't get beyond the door.  It has bio-sensors to pick up lifeforms.

its clearly in an area where the pup has picked up the surrounding walls of the corridor. if the ping is beyond the door then why does it indicated the ping inside the mapped area if the pup cant pick up the inside structure of the cryo room?

xeno, yea I don't see the engineers running from the stationary goo like that. something is chasing them or has caught one of them

it could even be a deacon or a xeno just bursting from an engineers chest?

Chris ran a story little over a month ago about things we all missed about Prometheus,and he matched the scream to the Xenomorph from Aliens.I wouldn't count out the deacon either 

yea I saw that. id go with the xeno aswell. my theory is the derelict was part of several ships sent to wipe out the enigeers on lv223. huggers got loose which is why the derelict crashed but at least one ship dropped its cargo. if it was huggers then it would make sense a xeno, if already created, would burst from the engineer, though differ in size, as engineer and human make up is the same. the deacon is from a whole set of different circumstances

The most likely angle.I believe Fifeld and Milburn,when they find the pile of the dead engineer bodies,acknowledge that something appeared to have burst from their chest.But i could be wrong.

Exactly.And we know that shed skin belongs to the Xenomorph.The real question is whether that skin is fresh or old.

don't remember the scene so cant give an opinion on whether it fresh or not but I def think ridley is motioning toward some unseen but yet detected xeno life form

It's deleted,if you got the dvd,then it should be there 

ill def make a point in keeping my eye peeled next time I watch the deleted scenes. I like the opening alternate scene with the engineers

The ping is detected 1 kilometre away.

But if you've miraculously convinced yourself it's something else against all reason - go nuts.

and what reason would that be? the ping is on the wrong side of the sealed door to be the engineer?

The possibility of something else in the pyramid is not terribly unlikely  when you think about is.The Xenomorph seem like they can remain dormant for a long time 

totally, it may have just been having a stretch and a yawn then back to sleep. I never gave the xeno much thought till chris pointed out the shreek in the hologram. I always thought they were running from something but id never thought of his theory. I do like the thought that there is something else there. a big enough threat that would scare even the engineers and the xeno def fits that bill. so since then iv always thought where the xenos went after killing all the engineers.

 Xenomorph has always been my theory.The only other thing it could have been is an infected engineer,but one of those was already running with them.The door shut and decapitated him

I don't get the pile of corpses. I get the amount of dead engineers and the holes in theyr chests but the fact they have been deliberately piled up? who piled them up? if it was attacking engineers like so many have theorised theyd be mad to come to the facility with the xenos running around.

Yeah i haven't no idea either.Chris said that the pile are the same ones we see locking themselves in the chamber since other than the headless one non of the other bodies are any where to be seen.

id go along with that, but to me, it looks like they possibly perish somewhere else and have been piled up here for some odd reason. possibly intimidation? but again why would they come to the facility with the xenos already birthed? madness lol but the may have a method of catching the xeno safely?
