The Covenant Diverted:Possible interference?

ah, yes. that could be a possibility. it would definitely stir up up conflict in the story line.

Yeah.Some thing i forgot to point is his interaction with Daniels in the trailer.  Daniels"Are you sure about this captain?" "How do you mean?" "We don't know what the f@#ks down there!" It does perhaps suggest the captain has an agenda.

Yeah Crudup's character seems like a douche right off the bat from the prologue. Burke didn't act like a douche until later in Aliens, definitely the same kinda thing going on for sure. He must be the "company" man in Alien: Covenant.

Franco's character was probably made sick by someone with an agenda. To get him out of the way to divert the Covenant to the new destination.

From the Viral Last Supper video, i get a sense of sorrow for Crudup he seems to be a man who has a lot of expertise and experience but he is not a large loud arrogant Character and so he gets drowned out by the more lively and very Holloway like McBride Character.  I get the kind of feeling that Crudup would feel the same as how David felt.

Crudup would maybe know he has more superior skills to be able to be worth more than his role in this crew, he may feel that he has more to offer than the Young Captain Jake (Franco)

David seemed to be driven to his miss-like of Mankind through maybe the actions of others towards him, where he is seen as basically a Robot....  these feelings of how he feels mistreated when he (David) clearly knows he is superior is why maybe David is pushed to the things he does....  he feels rejected but then also feels why should be be servant to a Race he is more superior to.

I think this is kind of Crudups Character... (Hey could he be a Robot too and thats how the Xeno happens) lol nope i wont go there...

But indeed when we first new the cast for Alien Covenant at the time Shooting was under way, i always felt that Billy Crudup would certainly play the Corporate Slime Ball so like Burke.

Or if not maybe a Android i also thought if not then Damien Bichir could play either role...

As time went on and we had James Franco confirmed i wondered is he the Corporate Executive?

But alas the Viral Last Super Video has opened up a whole new way to finally gauge the Characters....

Franco definitely is not no Evil Agenda kind of guy... Bichir is a bit of a prankster and part of a Same-Sex Couple which i hope is not their just for a political statement and their is more to their role.

CRUDUP i think in part is how i looked at him from the previous Post.... but then the Trailer showed a bit of a different side, one where he was in Authority The Captain (that we now now 100% is only due to the incapacitated Franco) and it would seem this now gives some fleshing out to why Daniels Questions his decisions... indeed Crudup could in deed be a Naive and not really suited to the Role....  his is in over his head.

BACK TO THE LAST SUPPER...

Indeed as i have put on the Topic in the News Section, i wander if the Photo of the Last Supper reflects the Biblical one in a sense..

Jesus was the Leader of the 12th Disciples, but there are more than 13 in the AC Photo, Franco does use the Symbolic Fingers that Christ does...... No Franco is not GOD lol, or indeed maybe he would not be a Sacrifice either.. not in same context.

But this whole thing seems a set up for some Foul Play

So indeed maybe Franco is ill for a reason, and some Foul Play has gone down... but who is the Judas?

The Tension in this Viral would hint maybe Crudup... but just like comments and stuff seem to be passing David as the Devil.....

But i suspect that our Walter is not to different from ASH in Alien...  i think the Trailer has given that away... again a massive mistake by FOX like with Prometheus they have given a lot away for those with keen eye....

As far as the question in the OT....

Indeed i think we can assume that Paradise is not the destination but it ends up being re-directed to this Destination, for me the movie has many things in common with Alien and Aliens... maybe far to many... i hope this is not the case...  i hope its not a case of some Plot Points from both movies being Merged together to base this movie around.

But i do fear this is the case... but i think hopefully they would also be using some of the themes from Prometheus and unused ones from Spaights draft.

I think nin is onto something. Crudup does seem suspicious and could be a company man.

Yeah it looks that way.Looks like both him and his wife suffer horrible fates.Crudup gets the facehugger(wonder what he's going to birth with that odd looking egg)and his wife gets stuck in the room with the backburster/Neomorph,attempts to fend it off with a knife.

I'm not sure.I think that could be the backburster guy.Though some one did make that connection once.What would happen if he got infected by the spores and the facehugger?What the hell would he birth?Nothing good that's for damn sure.

Just watched the trailer. Looked like CPT Majesty to me- that's what I like to call Culdrup for his early lofty statement in the viral video.
