David's workshop on Paradise with a dead Shaw?

MemberOvomorphFebruary 28, 2017Haven't contributed since before Prometheus... So I'd like to say a warm heart felt thank you to all of you for keeping us all in the "sort of" know... THANKS!!!!!
Anyways... Appears this screenshot may be of the discovery of David 8's workshop he may have been using since the Prometheus crashed/landed on the Engineers' planet. And that may be Shaw I hate to say, in the upper middle with the chest opened. Many sketches/images of facehuggers and altered human faces and bodies... utensils and facehugger on table...
WERD!!!! I wonder... Did David use Shaw to create the xeno? Blend her Human DNA with maybe his "android DNA" or the like? Did he find the knowledge to allow him to bridge the android/human gap? Did he want to live forever in this way? Or her? Using the blended cybernetic material, create the Xeno? Hmmm...
Thank you, Quinntas... Maybe I'll hold off!
no, no to all of that.
not even the mountain guy from game of thrones would have such a broad torso in that proportions.
and especially no human female.
riddle solved, robin.
Fifel,
Come back here when you see the film so I can serve you the Crow personally.
I love how you try to rationalize your bad guess. First you incorrectly state that it couldn't be her because she is already dead when they reach paradise. Sorry wrong answer.
You then confidently state that it's obviously an engineer. It's got to be... It has white skin! Sorry wrong again. It's a Caucasian brunette beave.
Then you pull out of you arse something about the size of the torso. Well, of course it's going to look out of proportion, it's opened up, probably busted open from inside.
Isn't that one of the new morphs hanging on the wall looking down on the room? I keep waiting for someone to mention it because it's something that caught my eye almost immediately.
I know by now that you are obsessed with the thought of finding Shaw in the trailer and images somewhere, ok keep going what do i care for your delusions.
Thats no human and certainly no female human lying there.
Either a random dead engineer like specimen from the planet or the actor Goran D. Kleut wearing movie make-up & prosthetics who played him prior to his death by Davids work .
I would like to bet, but theres just no appeal for betting on something certain. Remember this thread when the movie is released, dear irrational and not so smart person.
Interesting discussion. I think it's pretty evident. That's Shaw (the figure has hair too). Clearly her chest has been cracked, and propped open. You can clearly see the sawn ribcage. There seems to be something holding her head. I'm wondering if this may have been part of some apparatus keeping her alive.
There are two of the covenant crew in this room. Both appear to be on their knees. One looking up at the Protomorph dripping saliva near him, and the other guy is leaning over with his left hand on his rifle on the ground, and his right hand propping himself up, as if he's about to vomit (or may have just done so).
Is it possible this could be an Engineer? Of course. But nothing about the body suggests it's any more an Engineer than it is Shaw. Dead people tend to be very pale, especially following massive blood loss and sustained trauma. The size of the chest is simply a reflection of the trauma the body has endured.
I suspect any Engineers David experimented on were disposed of, but Shaw - Shaw is special (for more than one reason), and David will have kept her alive as a 'birthing machine' as long as he could.
This is not Goran D. Kluet (a very large person), however I'd suggest he may well have been experimented on by David.
I guess we'll find out soon enough, but it's fun to speculate. If we all had the same ideas, and they ended up to be the same as the movie, it'd be pretty boring and predictable.
The stuff on the tablet looks interesting as well. There seems to be facehugger in the middle - looks like the one on the hanging banner - slightly different from the trailer one - a lot thinner legs. Also on the left corner there is something that looks like a arm - pretty big compared to the dissected body - maybe there are big engineers there after all.
everyone believing the dissected enginner-like humanoid male on the table to be a chestbursted Shaw is either trolling or completely delusional :'D
You know, I could very well be delusional, that's a valid point! Although, in light of the events of Prometheus, and what we've seen and heard thus far about AC, David's plans, and Shaw's suspected part in that - and, in the abscence of compelling evidence to establish, for example, that what we are seeing in this particular scene is categorically human, Engineer or in fact, male - I'm going to go out on a limb and diagnose myself with a serious case of evidence based speculation. Don't worry about me though, the prognosis and treatment options are pretty good.
Speaking of pareidolia - the head on the dissected humanoid of indeterminate sex looks not too dissimilar to this human female:
no.
short hair
sunken eye socketshoulder width
torso volume
arm length
hips tightness
leg length
feet size LOL look at those big feet
no female human being
but even all that aside, following any suspected story and logic it is completely impossible that there is a Xeno at the cieling, a covenant crew member in the room - and the well preserved body of Shaw on a table.
Write sarcastic legitimations all day - still delusional and just stubbornly WRONG.
I think the 'bulk' that's being referred to around the size of the chest/shoulders is actually skin folded outwards from the chest area, making it look significantly wider than the rib cage.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, this could well be an Engineer, however the combined evidence (not just this single zoomed and distorted image) suggests that is likely to be Shaw.
Reminds me a bit of the 'sloth' victim in SE7EN. Wouldn't be a huge surprise for us to hear 'kill me' or 'run' from the body they thought was dead in this scene.
I think it's Shaw, the body is way too small for an engineer (unless it's a younger one) and it looks like it's even smaller than the guy standing next to it and looking up.
The head does have a faint resemblance to Shaw, but I'm not entirely excluding that it could be a younger engineer.
MuzzleNZ That's definitely possible, just look at the overall tone and environment of that scene; it looks like something straight out of Se7en.
Also, considering all the nods to Alien so far, I wouldn't be surprised if she turned out to be alive in a jump scare scene (despite near impossible odds) and hear her say "kill me"
The body proportions of Elizabeth Shaw seem a little off. Remember she is short (5'4") and compact. This unfortunate schelp looks leaner and taller than Shaw. I suspect it is one of the crew that gets waxed early or maybe somebody that was on the planet previously.
Another possibility is that they recovered the body of Dr. Vickers prior to taking off and David said "What the heck...? she's already dead and I really didn't care for her anyways..."
Lot's of possibilities here...
and the next one goes at it *facepalm
but that aside, there still is the mystery about the person/thing/figure next to the black guy to the left crawling away from him defensively.
the guy also holds his fist up in a beating manner and there is an empty table to the left of the dead humanoid (who is 100% not Shaw)
Maybe an alive specimen and now abomination of Davids work? Lurking the laboratory and looking for help when the covenant crew member comes in.
I would imagine he is ofcourse shocked by what he is seeing and fights it off maybe screams at it etc - which then attracts the Xeno/Protomorph.
The figure crawling also seems to know of the Aliens presence and wants to gtfo.
trailer about 2:00minutes in, set speed to 0.25x and look at that section of the screen.
i find this a very disturbing thought
