Clearly things have ramped up in the last few days due to the trailer release, but I'm starting to get grief about it!
Kids bedtime stories have become well, a bit thin on the ground!

Yeah me too lol.Whether it's my family or friend's in my games,i'm kinda driving them all nuts.

Not at all!!!I've been driving people crazy for years, but now it's kind of reached a boiling point. We're all entitled to our obsessions.Maybe us Alien fan(atics) are more obsessed than most.

Goddamn Tropics in here Politics has consumed a lot of my world- I have been tracking AC before it was called that. It is one of the only things to get excited about and look forward to considering how the real world looks right now and how other professional pressures mount- a nice escape. I would tell anyone who would disagrees to have a nice steamy hot cup of STFU.
.......there might be a way to weave AC into story time with the kids?

Yes, it's a bit of an obsession - and no understanding :) . Well, my son is a bit angry actually that he can't join me on the premiere. He's 15 in September which is the age limit in Sweden. What's the age limit in USA?

I was lucky enough(depending on your point of view)to see Alien Resurrection at age 7,but that's America. What are Swedish laws regarding age?Can he see it with adult company?

You could take the kid to the movie and state he/she is researching scifi past and present for a research paper? ;)

Good idea, dk. :)
ninXeno426: The rules have recently changed, but right now we have three age limits in Sweden: 7, 11 and 15. On the first two you can even be younger if you’re with an adult, but the last one you have to be 15 period (this will change again next year so that you can be 11 if accompanied by an adult - much annoying for my son :) ).

Just have the kid bring a notebook and pen. Ghost hails from there- I am sure Pa Pa and the Nameless Ghouls would surely vouch for the youngster?

DK - Like it
I've tried to swop The Gruffalo with a Alien Script but not sure it's quite suitable at their ages!!

I've got my fiance reading these threads and gaining interest! I proposed and then said.....you HAVE to watch this trailer!

FCE - Good work
No chance of coaxing my wife over to the Sci-fi side
Do they have a site like this for the Bridget Jones Franchise?

100% obsessed! I have been coming on this site everyday for 5 years. Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, Prometheus are the only movies that I watch over and over and over and over. As time passes, my obsession grows. While my wife enjoys the movies, she can't handle me watching them once a week, lol. She says I am beyond obsessed! Luckily, she knows this franchise makes me happy and she doesn't try and stop my obsession!

Sad but it's true...
You know you are obsessed when you find yourself contemplating what kind of Xeno your mother-in-law would produce if she was face-hugged...

My mom was kind enough to take me and a friend to R rated "Alien" when I was 10...lol. That was fantastic!

My wife thinks I'm a complete geek and likes to tease me. Of course when it comes to aliens and monsters, I am a complete geek so I don't mind. It is a nice escape as others have mentioned. But its pretty ironic since I appear as about the least "geeky" person you could imagine...based on the traditional stereotype anyway :).....and again, nothing is wrong with geeky....I like to think there is at least a little geek inside all of us

STEVEROGERS1973 - You are quite right! As an aside, we women enjoy teasing our men; it is just the way of things! :)

@S.Real - I wouldn't call ' you prefer that bloody alien thingy to me' teasing, or is it, I'm unsure!?

@Something Real - My wife LOOOOVES to irritate me. It's her favorite past time. She is such an agitator. Poke the bear, Poke the bear....always trying to get a rise. She's a little demon ;) but if it entertains her, its ok. I still love her :)

#&$DAMN TROPICS IN HERE - Hmm...I am uncertain. I suppose it depends upon the situation and the tone of voice in which the question you have quoted is posited. :)

I used to cop heaps about my star wars obsession after i saw it in 77' I don't give a rats royal facehugger if i am obsessed, like dk said its escapism and your not hurting anyone.
So what is their problem?

@aircraft_surprise. Exactly! Everybody needs an outlet. Me, I like to throw on my Xenomorph "onsey" and go and terrorize the neighbors. Sometimes I pretend I am a facehugger and I jump them on their way to work.
Lately I've had to tone it down some because they keep calling the cops on me --guess they get bent out of shape when I wrap my tail around their necks...
Some people just get way too serious about life and can't take a joke....
