It's in the water

MemberPraetorianMar-03-2017 11:49 AMThis is inspired by Chris's post on the trailer.A lot of us have been theorizing on how the engineers on "Paradise" have become possibly extinct.Black goo being disseminated through the water has been a popular and likely angle. Now it seems like we may have some proof,Chris observed that behind the Juggernaut there appears to be waterfall.Inside the Juggernaut, there's also a lot of running water. If we assume that the ship already had a payload of black goo, then it seems like a potential outbreak of black goo may be accidental. It could also explain the black spores, plant life that has grown from black goo infected water. If it's indeed in the water,it would disseminated through out the whole planet, not just through rivers, lake's and oceans, but through rain.Prometheus Fire and Stone already showed that black goo can have a positive impact on the environment, but a negative impact on sentient life.Imagine a rain of black goo, corrupting everything it touches, you'd likely end up with a planet with its entire civilization trying to kill each other.David may not have had to lift a finger.

Perhaps David locked her in there, or, kept her in cryosleep until the spores were gone.

MemberTrilobiteMar-03-2017 8:09 PMBased on the OP, the contamination would be wide spread. They would be tracking their wet contaminated boots into the drop ship etc...

MemberPraetorianMar-03-2017 8:18 PMMy thoughts exactly. The trailer shows quite a few Neomorph. The water might get tracked around and lead to multiple infections.

MemberTrilobiteMar-03-2017 8:37 PMWe were only talking about water. Maybe it gets caught up with evaporation into clouds that rain down everywhere.
