@Spitehouse - I think that might just be it: The fire that Prometheus took from the gods was just a metaphor to the Fly/Backspin/pop/lock/turtle/whack combo moves that Weyland has been chasing...if he can find the right combination he could achieve immortality! He could then be the "Flyest of the Fly" as depicted in the original cave hieroglyphs.

This is amazing.  We are literally discovering the true Alien canon on this thread....the whole Xeno thing is just a ruse to thow everyone of Weyland's true quest...crazy.

If i can put something back on Topic....

Then indeed Engineers coming to take Humans back to LV-223 or Paradise could be a possibility.... or even taking them from Paradise/LV-223 to Earth.  Maybe some element of Alien Abductions or even Ancient Sacrifices could fit into the whole Story.

At very least its plausible the Engineers came back and took some forms of Life back to LV-223 to Evolve them and then bring back these more evolved Humanoids back over and over until modern Mankind is achieved.

As far as the Baby Heads.. indeed its the first thing i noticed way back when these Props was leaked and i have mentioned this a few times.. and they are in the Movie.

So this means (unless they are going to pass them off as primates)  that either

*David has came across Skeletons of long dead Baby/Fetus Humanoids, or Petrified/Burnt remains of such Humanoids.

*David somehow gains access to some live at one point Baby/Fetus Humanoids  in those 10 years he has been on Paradise.

The last Option is interesting because we have to wonder, where the hell does he obtain these?

The Source did claim back in February 2015 that there was like Cryo-Pods that was not too dissimilar to the Matrix Pods where the Machines Grow and Keep Humans in the Matrix...  and they said there was like Babies being grown in these Pods.

Which is why a while back i made a Topic about could it have been Females that always lead to the downfall of the Engineers or other beings, because Culture and Mythos has always portrayed MAN and indeed the GODs (Angels in Biblical account) being Fond of Females and Gold.. 

So i wondered was the Disaster Scene in AC a Punishment where Females was taken out, with Males... and this left the Engineers or those above them to find alternative means to Reproduce and could Cloning be that... and could these had led to the LV-223 Engineers?

Thank you BigDave. I noticed more than one Prometheus mission lost. I think it is obvious that David had access to at least one Engineer body to harvest from/test on when on Paradise.

Could any of the lost Prometheus class missions have provided humans for the Engineers?

The colony furthest out in the list is POL-6362: JACOB-TELLIS and is 3249 light years out.

Weyland Industries could have put many ships in the Acheron LV-426 system. Prometheus Class ships set sail in 2073.

Did a crew, such as the lost crew of Captain Susan Morrison (a real person at NASA) get lost in the system that houses the planet Paradise?

Did David 8 cultivate eggs from the capture of another crew(s)?

Who knows...

We have to remember the Galaxy even as far as within a 2000LY distance is vast... it would be like the Atlantic Ocean say  on a larger scale.. if saw we had many ships travel across that sea and there could be things and places (well GPS Co-ordinates) that are simply never explored..

My point is kind of like how difficult it is to find a Crash Plane Wreckage at sea, most times not every piece of wreckage is recovered.

so they could have traveled further than LV-223/426 before Prometheus but never had been near that system.

I would also not 100% rely on this part of the Prometheus Viral Website as it has MASSIVE Plot Holes

Which by the year it was reached by a Man-made mission would Beg the Question why did Weyland use the Prometheus when this shows there was FAR-MORE Faster Ships out there?

I wont rule out the possibility of a previous mission to Paradise though... as its like i had mentioned on a Topic the other day..

Where did these Lamps come from? There are 3 such Lights Sources in this shot..

1) From the Prometheus Lifeboat or Wreckage? Doubt it

2) Engineer Juggernaught? I would think the Tech is different

3) Ancient Engineer Technology, that means they evolved similar Technological wise as we did when we invented Electricity and the light Bulb

Nope they look very Human/Man-made from Earth Tech.

Could they have came from here?

 Or similar.... as these are not round.

Or did Ancient Engineers share a lot of similar Tech like Lamps with Light Bulbs or similar.... and then where did David get his writing material and Paper.

Hey BigDave, that's actually a really great catch. David 8 has unique skills but I also don't believe he created everything from scratch such as the lights in his workshop on Paradise.

The paper looks a bit like opened scrolls...which would be in place in a temple but I don't remember any lighting in Prometheus in the Engineer structure except for the hologram playback that kicked on whatever was all over the walls blending into the background. A different tech entirely from the human visitors.

And regardless of if its Guns or Not, it would have to be at least as SteveRogers1973 mentioned... at least Flash Lights.

So your point Ingeniero stands these objects are Human Technology and we have to ask how did they get there...

One Gun/Flashlight could have been Latukefu's but then who had the other?

Also the whole Davids Workshop has Lamps that appear to be something the LV-223 Engineers Tech would not match and also maybe not what the more Ancient Paradise Tech lacks.

Yes BigDave. The human tech is out of place. One thing that Ridley Scott mentioned in his last round of interviews in regards to Dr. Shaw and the Alien: Awakening slip (deliberate or not) was the period in between LV-223 and Paradise.

David 8 could have been on Paradise for a year after nine years of harvesting technology from another human colony or craft.

They were in a juggernaut, so that breaks through limitations of human spacecraft as far as reach for David 8 and Dr. Shaw before David 8 went to Paradise.

It does look like the Engineer bodies rotted away when Daniels is on the stone ramp.

I still believe this pic below is from another time (as much as years) in relation to when the Covenant crew arrived.

I disagree! (Most respectfully, ofcourse) 

I think that the picture of the bodies and the cloaked figure is from when David (and maybe Shaw) came to the Paradise. The picture where David shoots the flare is from the first encounter withe the covenant crew and the Neo:s.

The picture with Daniels at the ramp is further in to the picture, maybe from a second or third visit to the temple. Look at Daniels face. That is the face of someone who knows she is in mortal danger and has very slim chances of surviving. I'd reckon that that would not be the case when they first visit the temple and the captain gets a hug.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

The latest press came out and said this:

"we saw Captain Oram talking to an android played by Michael Fassbender. However, this wasn’t the newly revealed Walter model. It’s David, the android last seen in Prometheus, who explained to Oram that he’s become something of an amateur zoologist. As the camera lingered on dissected specimens, David revealed he’s been studying the xenomorph. He explained that he’s mapped how insectoid carriers burst from spores to infect hosts and create hybrid lifeforms."

In the top picture David 8 (see article quote above...if they are correct) is talking to Captain Oram. David 8's hair is its natural color in an attempt to "look" like he is still operating under his original directives marooned and ready to serve human interests.

The long blond hair hanging out of the hood of the Engineer cloak is gone from David 8 talking to Captain Oram near the egg.

This, I believe, is an attempt by David 8 to keep the Covenant crew calm and lure then towards the lifeforms (eggs) he cultivated on Paradise.

It's the hair that throws me off in the Engineer cloak hood.

How could David 8, with long blond hair (see above), attack the Covenant crew after displaying the eggs (above) for Captain Oram when David 8 has short brown hair (his natural color)? 

David is born bald so his hair grows. That is why I believe that the flare picture is from another crew taken over at another time on Paradise during the decade from when we last saw David 8 on LV-223.

I totaly missed that thread! How could I possibly do that! Very interesting. And the gizmodo article I had'nt read either. The backburster scene will be just awesome (if that is a adequate word for something as horrific as that) I must spend more time here...

As for  the blond hair i am not sure what to believe... To me it looks as if it might be something in the background, lit up. But as I said, I am not sure.

Parkerparrot, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound mystical with the triangles comment.

I was talking about the triangular shapes (in the image above) in the hood, lit up face, hood shadow, the lower cloak opening, overall cloak figure, etc...the triangle shape (below) seems to be a visual habit in the trailers.
