MemberOvomorphMar-16-2017 1:20 AMWhether you loved or hated her , I believe we can start coming to terms with the direction Ridley Scott plans to take her character ; In homage of H. R. Giger .
Let us face the truth .

MemberFacehuggerMar-16-2017 11:51 AMAgreed. This was hinted at in Prometheus numerous times, and as a Giger fan I caught on--with a strange mixture of glee and horror--quickly. Mainly, because of this image:

MemberFacehuggerMar-16-2017 11:55 AMIt's a feminine humanoid figure, with a gash through its abdomen, through which an egg bearing a facehugger has emerged (via the light of an eye with a worm emerging from it). Then we see one biomechanical man being facehugged as a newly identical being looks on. Voila! Chestburster!

MemberFacehuggerMar-16-2017 12:00 PMWhile the eye worm and abdominal gash bearing eggs/facehuggers has been addressed in Prometheus, I do wonder if or what we will see of the bottom half of the image. Could the watching figure be David? At first I thought that the victim of the facehugger would be Crudup's character, but with Walter apparently being somewhat biomechanical AND nearly identical to David, could he be the one who gives rise to the true Xenomorphs?
I'd actually love to see Walter and Shaw meet these fates, as the results could be oh so very disturbing, so very ALIEN.

MemberDeaconMar-16-2017 1:11 PMThis indeed could be the Truly Horrific Truth we must now have to swallow..... All hail the Waltermorph... the true reason for those Eggs on the Derelict LOL
As far as the fate of Shaw, i would think something like this would certainly had been a idea thrown around during the brain storming process of a Prometheus Sequel and maybe it was what they had considered and even had in the previous drafts before John Logans Re-write in Summer of 2015
It would be interesting to see if indeed something similar is being done in Alien Covenant or at least we see the aftermath.

MemberDeaconMar-16-2017 1:15 PMAs far as the Mural shown, this was Gigers Mural for Alien that was to be placed in the Egg Silo above what he refereed to has Bio-Mechanical Pregnant Bellies that would Birth those Eggs
His idea was that the Ship is actually grown, and its actually a living Bio-Mechanical Organism and the ship produced the Eggs
This was truly Alien, in which Bio-Mechanical Space Suit beings was used in the Sacrifice to Procreate the Organisms.
I think Prometheus should have paid more attention to Gigers ideas, but they dropped the ball..... and it now seems backed themselves into a corner.
And with the changes it seems they are making now... they are jumping out of the Pan and into the Fire.

MemberFacehuggerMar-16-2017 2:03 PMWow...It has been some time since I have replied on anything here! I still read posts daily, but its been a while. I have a funny feeling Shaw is alive in the film. I also think that she will have some part in the film but not sure what. We all did read that the person who visited the set saw Shaw with tubes coming out of her head as if it was a Giger painting. That would be so sick if this was the case! Sticking to my guns that the biomechanical Xeno was created from bursting out of a seated Jockey with all biomechanical parts attached mimicking its host.

MemberPraetorianMar-16-2017 2:32 PMReally nice walkthrough of the xenomorph life cycle in the above Giger painting Raido. Yes, it looks like a tough time ahead for Dr. Shaw.

MemberChestbursterMar-16-2017 3:02 PMIt seems like Shaw's appearance or fate will be a big surprise in AC. We haven't seen her in any clips or read about her in any inside-info article, and Noomi hasn't mentioned anything about "her role" as far as I'm concerned.
I wouldn't be surprised if David has turned her into a massage chair/soda dispenser combo.
I'm not joking.

MemberPraetorianMar-16-2017 3:14 PMIs it Shaw? Is it Charlie Holloway? Is it their combo?
Is it holding something in its right hand? Is it mutating?
I'm not joking either. :)

MemberFacehuggerMar-16-2017 5:16 PM@Neomorph. LOL
"I wouldn't be surprised if David has turned her into a massage chair/soda dispenser combo..."
I really don't think David has any use for a soda dispenser...
I'm thinking more like a George Foreman Grill/Dildomorph Alert system..
Then again, Dave could have went simple and just turned her into a nice creamy Bisque with a hint of garlic cilantro.
Eating bisque in a massage chair--Now that sounds delicious.
Whatever the scenario, I really don't think she's going to be down with it...

MemberPraetorianMar-16-2017 5:58 PMGiven what we're seeing in today's biotech research, such as the melding of Human and Porcine DNA (That's how you get Orks?) the creation of wholly Synthetic DNA along with 3d printing of living tissues and constantly evolving micro/nanotechnology then you factor in that technology advanced at a Geometric rate...and further factor in the years ahead that this story takes place in, as well as David's intelligence and the access to Engineer tech...
Pretty much anything's possible. Especially when you take all of that into account for science-fiction.
We will see what we see when we see it, and I can't wait for the release date!! :D

MemberOvomorphMar-16-2017 6:01 PMJohn Logan was the showrunner for Penny Dreadful, and judging by many gruesome scenes that show did not shy away from (including Frankenstein and his creatures plot line), I imagine Logan might not have reservations about utilizing Shaw character in some shocking ways (along with other characters of course, which we already have proof of)

MemberDeaconMar-16-2017 6:43 PM"read about her in any inside-info article"
Not much had been said about Shaws role... i had posted 2 years ago what the Source i had, and they had hinted add which a lot thought was BS... especially from other sites ;)
But the set reports seem to back up the information i was given 2 years plus ago.

MemberDeaconMar-16-2017 6:48 PM*Shaw plays only a small role, but a big role as far as the Plot
*She Technically does not die.
*David wishes to play God
*In order to re-create it (Deacon or Xeno) all you need was the Tools and Knowledge and David possessed both
*In context to Paradise Lost poem without Sin (i assume Satans Daughter) there would be NO Xenomorph
*Mankind plays a bigger role in the Xenomorph than the Engineers.
Plus also description of a Scene/Concept work where it depicts a Humanoid connected to some HR Giger type Machine that would be like the Robot Girl from Superman 3 but done in the style of HR Giger...
This all passed on and as i mentioned on here 2 years ago...
That latest Set reports now seem to match

MemberChestbursterMar-16-2017 8:33 PMOffering an alternative to the mural alluding to two androids. We've all acknowledged the xeno body looks like the engineer bio-suit. The figures in the mural do look like engineers in full space suits.
Now consider the way the facehugger and xeno look in the AC trailers. They both look smaller and slimmer. Less armored. It makes me wonder if this is the reality of the protomorph. Less body mass and unarmored. Created through Shaw by David. This could merely be a peek at a less evolved xeno.
It may be the case that the skinny facehugger from AC has to hug an engineer in order to get the classic xeno. Then of course once engineer DNA has been introduced into the mix, the subsequent facehuggers down the line are bigger with a more armored appearace (see Kane's hugger when attached) and the resultant xenos are armored as well.
This xeno in AC could be like what the deacon was for Prometheus but a step closer to the classic xeno. Reassuring the fans that we're still on our way to the Nostromo incident.

MemberFacehuggerMar-16-2017 9:25 PMInteresting idea, @QueenElisabethShaw. It would be cool to see the Engineers play a further role in the development of the Xenomorph via impregnation-by-facehugger. Really any chance to see them pop up again would please me, as I feel that we didn't see enough of the Engineers in Prometheus...

MemberFacehuggerMar-16-2017 9:42 PM@Neomorph, hahaha i can just picture David reclining back on Dr Shaw with a cold glass of milk while watching Lawrence of Arabia.
