Resurgence
MemberFacehuggerMar-16-2017 8:49 AMSo after playing Alien: Isolation one thing confused me, Why were the corridors so small in comparison to the Space Jockey, with the corridors being tall enough to accommodate the tallest human with an extra foot while the Space Jockey is approximately 2.5 times the height of an average human, which wouldn't make sense, now I know some of you will be saying that's because it has been there a long time so that would be the reasoning behind why it is the way it is, but I point to the Space Jockey itself more specifically it's chest remember that hole in it's chest that everyone has a theory about, well the bone thickness disproves that if it were because of it's age the bone wouldn't be perfectly round like it is and if it were because of fossilization it wouldn't make any sense because the derelict would have to be buried and the jockey wouldn't be a bone white color, leaving it with only one possible way to get around the derelict; crawling, which is extremely inefficient because if there is an emergency it would not be able to escape without permanent harm.
Look upon my works, you mighty, and despair

MemberFacehuggerMar-16-2017 7:14 PM@BigDave yes i can see the conundrum of the whole thing, here in the forum we can all speculate till the cows come home but until fox releases something official that says this is how it all goes, until then we are only grasping at straws. lol

MemberNeomorphMar-16-2017 7:27 PMMaybe, in the next instalment, Noomi Rapace will wake up and it will all have been just an Hollywood dream?
I know, wish-full thinking
The poster was good though!

MemberFacehuggerMar-16-2017 7:41 PM@S.M after watching both movies umpteenth times(lol) little things make sense even though i could be wrong, the shaft next to the chair that kane abseils down, could be a airshaft that runs parralel to the chairlift well or it could be a heat vent
Kane said it was like the goddamn tropics down there,
or it could be where the SJ's chestburster exited after it birthed? this is only speculation.

MemberXenomorphMar-16-2017 7:48 PMThe hole Kane went down looks melted by acid. I was always under the impression it wasn't something built as part of the ship.
I'll have to have another study of both scenes. What a chore. :)

MemberFacehuggerMar-16-2017 8:10 PM@S.M oh i was going to mention the acid burn at the shaft entrance ya beat me too it! lol.
that could only mean that the SJ chestburster was injured after birthing or released acid blood as a fight or flight mechanism and burned a hole in the plating to escape down the shaft?
or a facehugger burned a hole coming up the shaft from the cavern to get to the SJ, but was there more than one engineer on board of the derelict?, you think there would be hmmmmm, this is getting very interesting.
