The temple columns are visible in the background behind Daniels on Paradise.
The temple structure is visible in these images.
Here Daniels is seen hanging after the xenomorph images.
Nice cropping skills, man! ;)
I never noticed those pillars--- very interesting! But what's the point of having such structures without a roof/ceiling/covering? Is this hinting at a massive building that decayed long ago?
OR
Do the pillars conduct electricity from the main temple (as theorized by some members)? A sort of Doomsday Device.
Upvoted!
The image where she is actually shooting, the background looks like a village of some sort.

Thank you Chestbursters!.
I believe the pillars are decorative, away from the main buildings of the temple structure shown later.
I assume that the Engineers on LV-223 were not the only Engineers to have weapons. The bell-like structure on top of the temple has some purpose other than a gilded cap and electromagnetic capabilities is a good projection based on what we've seen with a crashed juggernaut.
The crashed juggernaut may have had it's system zapped by the Engineer's defenses and landed that way because of it or be that way unrelated entirely.
dk, the images were from the international trailer and I adjusted brightness and contrast and the temple structure came out great.
Apex_Predator, yes, there are quite a bit of smaller structures that surround the main temple (from what we can see). It appears like an Engineer campus of some sorts with smaller cathedral-style buildings radiating out.
Indeed i think its possible Ingeniero as far as the Temple being used as a Weapon.
As far as the look of these buildings we clearly see a mix of Mesopotamia with Byzantine and Egyptian influences

The Source i had claimed.
*Paradise Architecture has a Mesopotamia , Egyptian and Greek Influence
*One Concept has like a Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple look to it, with rows of Statues that are like those from these Egyptian Cities and some are Human looking other different.
*Another Concept had similar statues that lead to a Obelisk that looks neither Stone or Metal but was Black and looked Grown and Roots around it, and behind was like a Forest/Orchid... at the Obelisk had a Green Glow from the Center and was to be the loose interpretation of the Tree of Life/Knowledge from the Garden of Eden and Source of the Engineers Power.

@Ingeniero The idea of an Engineer College is an interesting idea, It could explain how David was able to create the eggs with the dark liquid. If the Engineers were dead before David got there all of that technology would be sitting there collecting dust and since David knows the Engineer's language he could learn their methods for creating new life. The possibilities are endless
Ingeniero in the first picture down (the one with her foot in it) I see Inquisitor Fifield standing on top of the pillar waving an ungun at you.
No Rick, that would be one of the more courageous characters in the Engineers' structures that you're referring to.
If you remember Fifield from Prometheus, he was a real sissy when it came to "gigantic dead bodies" and Engineer pyramids.
Fifield was a real downer, and had a sissy pouty mouth in Prometheus, and would not be anywhere near the action without a dose of black goo. I guess that the name Fifield and sissy pouty mouth go together like peas and carrots.
Nice work Ingeniero!
Looks like their version of a Renaissance city. Lots of dome topped buildings, in parallel with say Florence or Rome.
Can't wait to see the place!

Indeed Seraphis
I think David would not need to meet any alive Engineers to be able to figure out the broad strokes to experiment and create a similar set of Organisms to the Xenomorph.
And if he either comes across a World whos inhabitants are long gone, or indeed he decides its better to Lay Waste to them and then Salvage information from the Ruins...
He would be able to acquire some of Shaws Answers for her.

Yes, this was all seen in the trailers. Obviously a nicer planet than LV-426 or is it LV-426 that ends up destroyed and barren?
The structure looks Neolithic..Reminds me of some of the ancient megaliths as places like Baalbek or Tiawanku.
It has to be some inference that these Engineers or whatever flavor of the planet it is we are dealing with gave human kind (or developed us, whatever) the knowledge of how to build great structures.
Yes dk. I didn't notice anything regarding an eye until I saw a topic on it.
The title image above is very pixelated and I wasn't looking for an eye or eye sockets until I went back to the concept art for Alien: Covenant and the enhanced xenomorph image.
This is an upward-looking angle of the xenomorph head butting the glass. There may be eyes visible similar to the eyes visible in the concept art that had a translucent covering over the eyes of the xenomorph.
Ingen,
I really found Inquisitor Fifield and an Ungun. I have the Grassy Knoll Proof. See Below
That is funny Rick. You're right, cowardice does blend into the background when hiding like Fifield.
I zoomed in and saw this:
Pure cowardice Inquisitor Fifield. I guess "obsessed" and "autistic" were the first English words you learned translated into German.
