MemberTrilobiteMarch 23, 2017The only two I could think of would be 1: to have characters written and developed well with no wishy washy whimsical religious zealots.
2: Do not put too much emphasis on technology like holograms and such.
How about you?
Would you clarify main character kids and chestburster gestation periods (does that mean consistent time)?
1. Stay true to H.R Giger and his nightmareish world and design.
2. No comedy.
3. Never, ever again a newborn or anything that resembles that abomination. (I am fine with neomorphs though..)
4. No timetravel.
5. No "up in the blue, infantile dopehead" ideas in scripts or drafts like wooden planets ur sutch. Alien worlds yes, but please not stupid.

Are you sure about no comedy? Does that include little dark humor things that were said in every movie? I am just trying to clarify what you mean about comedy. Thank you for contributing.
Can't believe BigDave hasn't weighed in on this yet

I know. On the other hand, he might drop a 2 page post or even excerpts from the real deal from an inside source.
Lol yeah he just might
Nothing the God of biomechanics wouldn't let you in heaven for
No time travel
No fan boy service other then set pieces and or details about the alien universe that serves to expand the world
No newborn
Always R
Never 100% CGI, always a mix of practical effects
Dont rely on Ripley storyline, there are many directions this franchise can explore, no need to focus on one person indefinitely.
DOnt have more than 2 years between movies.
Someone here said something about not changing scripts, agreed, stick to an idea and flesh it out.
Predator and Alien dont need to share screen time to be in the same universe...
Only hint at origins, never explain fully, only point to possibilities
That's all I can think of for now...
@DK
Dark humor I have absolutly no problem with, but how Resurection turned out.... No, dont go there.

"- Put Chris and BigDave on the pay roll as consultants/writers with possible cameos."
Sounds great, i would have to be a Fifield type Mutation... And i would end up like this

As for the Topic...
I just hope they have it all planned out A-Z even if we dont see every part of A-Z as long as they know what a A-Z would be and stick to things that wont contradict it, and so also to tidy up the mess that has been left before.
But Hopefully this is where that Rule Book came from. (and its purpose)

@dk
yeah consistent and clearly defined gestation period for the chestbursters. I read somewhere that the Pulvis' chestburster from Resurrection was delayed "due a thyroid disorder". The Queen burster in A3 gestated longer because it was a queen, presumably requiring greater development/incubation. All fair enough reasons, but a rule book should outline the factors that affect this I guess.
The AVP films just had chest-burster scenes happen all over the shop. Let not have that lol.
