The dead are still present when the Covenant crew arrives.
Maybe the goo has different effects depending on the life form and the amounts that is being used? For example, the Engineer drank the goo and dissolved. Fifield rolled in the goo and became a monster. Perhaps the goo being dropped (eventually) turned the Engineers into corpses because different life-forms which means different DNA also it was a huge amount and hence different effects.
Hopefully they will have a satisfying answer to this and not some Lindelofian shit.
I think they are either engineers in this pic or something just as big. Look at the size of the two figures to the left and right of what is probably David. They are much bigger than the cloaked figure. My two cents.
I can see that too KurtisRay. There could be an affect on those in the picture on Paradise similar to what happened to Sean Fifield in LV-223.
Sean Fifield (after exposure to black goo above) mutated and grew huge before he confronted the Prometheus crew.
That could be a reason or you could have much larger beings on Paradise than what we have seen before in Prometheus and in the Alien: Covenant trailers.
Just a thought. Judging from the two bodies left and right of the hooded figure. Are those bigger than Mala'kak? I know it is a stretch but could they be Jockeys?
Eine Theorie die nicht auf Etwas solidem basiert ist für gewöhnlich nur Geschwätz.
The space jockey was huge Tiwaz. So, yes we could have very large occupants of the temple in the photo if there were any of that kind.
Yeah, I checked some Alien pics. The two in the pic above are smaller than the Jockey in Alien. I forgot how big the poor bastard actually was. Ahh well... ^^

These appear to be far smaller in these shots..
Also from On Set

As far as the Cinemacon Showing...
There was 3 different reports if i remember correctly and a video on youtube of two people who saw the footage.
And we get varying information.
*Engineers turning into Monsters Vs Disolving
*Two Engineer Ships Join Together vs the Ship connects with some pieces from the Landing Area like a Jigsaw.
Also i cant see where David could appear on a Ramp....
Then again i could not figure where the Ship would Drop its Cargo but this shot maybe confirms why these Holes are here.
I Fail to see how 3 different people can report such a varying report based on the same footage... But then the 4Chan and IMDB Leaks also different yet was also similar in some things.

That set shot above is awesome BigDave.
I know what you mean regarding varying reports. If there are two Engineer ships above Paradise, then Dr. Shaw could be operating one with David 8 in the other. Yes, the room above is different from the navigator room we have seen before with the chair coming out of the floor (below).
Thank you for the gif above with the juggernaut arriving through the clouds Blackwinter-witch. It is really great to see that arrival repeated for study.
You are able to see both Engineer ships in this shot from Empire magazine.
The larger ship does the bombing, does Shaw fly the other one to intercept and get knocked out of the sky
Or are they bombing as a team?
The larger ship does the bombing
Is that what the article says? I can't read the fine print. That is a wicked looking ship!
This is a interesting Shot.
Indeed it opens up the debate to what this Ship is and where does it come from... as the Paradise or what ever this World is, does seem that the Civilization of beings on this World are not Technologically Advanced apart from the Cathedral Dome with the Gold Device on Top.
So is this Actually another Engineer related Ship?
Was it on Paradise or where ever this shot is from, prior to David and Shaw arriving and so we have to then wonder, is this the only Ship those beings have and does this ship lead to the Juggernaught Crashing?
Well the Cinemacon Footage Report that had some slightly different views on this had mainly gave TWO Accounts.
1) There are TWO Juggernaught like Ships that connect End to End prior to the Bombardment... This sounds Flawed and Odd.
2) That something rises up from the Landing Platform and Attaches to the Juggernaught prior to it Bombing.
So maybe this object is some kind of Docking Device the Juggernaught connects to, maybe the Juggernaught gets pulled into it and it connects and this is WHY David Bombards them as he fears they are now Caught... kind of like a Reaction in Star Trek when a Ship gets caught by another Ships Tractor Beam?
Or maybe this was Davids intention all along...?
The other device however does seem to be similar to the Covenant and so its more likely it could be a Ship?
Not long until we find out ;)
