A tail seems to come up behind an assumed Dr. Shaw in the hologram.
I mentioned that too- I thought it was a spike or a tube but as Fifeld pointed out it could be artifact too. I am really torn about this.
The hologram looks different in this image as if an Engineer was at the controls. This may be a later in the same sequence or a different sequence.
I understand what you're saying Inquisitor Fifield. Good point. The pointed object coming up behind Dr. Shaw is a hologram artifact showing the chair behind her. I'll have to perform more hologram analysis to be sure.
Engineers....massive tech, but skimped on their Holotech :D
IN SPACE THERE IS NO WARNING
I know Blackwinter-witch, hello, Weyland Industries hologram feedback of Dr. Shaw's childhood dreams was in better resolution than the Engineer hologram.
I'm not sure about it showing Shaw dying, however these two side shots show a humanoid face
I think you can make out a jaw / teeth in the second shot
Its very distorted due to the hologram, but so too is the humanoid face
I dont think i can make out anything but a Humanoid in that Chair and i dont think they have put this scene together with it being after the discovery of Shaws ID Card for coincidence.
I do indeed think that Shaw is shown here operating the Juggernaught. Which means David must have shown her.
This really is interesting if this is the case, as it would be very interesting to know at what point Shaw was in the Control Chair/Panel

I read where some in the media described two ships above Paradise before the black goo attack BigDave.
Could Dr. Shaw have been coordinating with David 8 to attack the Engineers on Paradise from the juggernaut?
@Ingeniero...
Nail - hit - head. Exactly what I was thinking, but she gets killed and crashes before she can take the Juggernaut back to Earth. I'll say it again - "Take Me Home".
SenseOfDoubt, yes, very good point regarding the lyrics and that fits Dr. Shaw's character traits.
Either Shaw was working with David or against him during his "attacks" on humanoid beings (Engineers, or others).

ha! I am at work and I just slammed my desk with my hand and said, Eureka!! David convinced Shaw that the Engineers are naughty...something along those lines and she coordinates with David! Sounds genius to me. David might have planned Shaws ship cannot make it back to earth, causing the crash. There is no reason for Shaw to fly the ship if David can himself. Or..maybe Shaw was trying to escape David...so many things!
@Davefried that's what is so ingenious about the marketing of this film so far...the trailers raise more questions than they give answers. So what if they show some of the creatures? Everyone knows what an XX121 looks like anyways, and the BIG question is "Where did THOSE come from?".
See Predator!!!!!!!
LOL
Its about the clearest and best shot we can make out who this could be.

Nuh uh!
Someone managed to edit a very clear photo, and it clearly shows Shaw!
Obsession is a Power, not a Curse ;)
okay at least we know why the engineer Holo-logs are staticy unlike the planet holograms; SECRECY, Clever Fox, Very Clever
Look upon my works, you mighty, and despair
I think shaw was freaked by what the engineer did at the end of prometheus and helps david wipe them out. Drop goo, then go home. But.......
They must get hit by something to make them crash so shaw is put in hypersleep and david waits for rescue.
I think both characters are motivated to do it, but whether shaw could survive a planet covered in mutated goo and a ship with no power is debatable.
Its clearly the chair and not a xeno or a tail that pops up in the last couple frames.
It does raise a couple points of interest though, Shaw would have no idea how to pilot the ship unless David showed her. If he showed her he is, at least for that moment willing to work with her. He was always amused by her while he had disdain for most everyone else, especially Holloway but you could sense he held her to a special standard, this is all very evident throughout Prometheus. She could be, but i don't think she is colluding with David to destroy the Engineers or flying another ship.
I still think she is either now dead or has been used or turned into something so awful that it would have been better had she died. But what made David turn on her, we know he has his own interests and curiosities but he did have a certain kinship toward her for some reason, maybe because of her faith or belief amused him and set her apart from all the other humans he held in contempt.
Just makes me curious about what her role will be in this movie, even if her role is small i think her or whatever she has been through will play a huge role plot wise.
Im still not convinced those reports from CinemaCon are legit with David dropping black goo on the courtyard and petrifying all of the humanoids/engineers in that yard. There are far too many inconsistencies with black goo, pictures that have been released , scenes from the trailers and logic ...i could be wrong but it seems way off to me.
Back to Shaw i love her humming along to this song, if you listen to her voice its broken and sounds emotional or a little distraught, similar to how Ripley was singing "Lucky Star" during the end of Alien to calm her nerves/fears...just a thought
