Does the hologram show Dr. Elizabeth Shaw's death?
A tail seems to come up behind an assumed Dr. Shaw in the hologram.
I think there were dorsal fins coming out of her back, so she was in a state of transformation or she was a victim of a neomorph burst.
Obsession is a Power, not a Curse ;)
What I gather from this is that clearly something terrible befell Elizabeth Shaw. Something awful. She was wrong. She was soooooo wrong... =D I cannot fucking wait to see this movie! I feel like a young kid again, during the month of December, waiting for Christmas! God do I love this feeling!

I reckon David turned her into something.. that looks like a neomorph spike coming from her back, was she the first?
@ BMacReady
I hear You! This is so great! And hopefully there's more to come in the future! A great time to be alive!!

Not so sure about the "spike" being part of the chair. It would have to be a reflection from the hologram but she doesn't move much. The chair is not part of the hologram.
If she doesn't die here, she does soon I think.
I think when her and Dave showed up at Paradise she thought they were there for answers but then David had other ideas and bombed the people on the planet as they docked. Shaw is in disbelief and terrified at his actions and tries to escape on the ship (what is shown in the hologram) while David is watching the carnage, as was suggested before. Either she is a victim of one of the creatures David creates with the bombing (still does not explain the "burned" corpses) or he kills her when she tries to escape or she is still infected from LV 232 and morphs into something while she is piloting the ship.
Then again, maybe not. :)
Said it before and I will say it again - Shaw wanted answers, in the end not to her ideals but why they wanted to destroy us. She asked Yanek to stop them, do what must be done, they must never reach Earth. She set off to Paradise with an agenda - she had no way of knowing what would greet her on their home world & for all she knew the entire engineer population wanted us destroyed - on arrival would she take the chance that she was wrong again? Nope - she killed them all or gave them a piece of their own medicine - remember nothing is what it seems!!!
I think Shaw left that planet with the beings above the one in paradise
Want some candy?
Elizabeth Shaw is the "bad guy" in Covenant. David is doing her bidding in exchange for putting him back together.
It looks like she's facehugged to me in one photo? This one...
What do you think?

Look up close... I think she's facehugged. Possibly? =D

Strange. In a couple other shots like DB posted, facial features could be seen. Thanks BigDave.
I made out her facial features in a couple of other shots too but this one looks different when you zoom in it looks like the outline of a facehugger. It could also be a space jockey helmet as well like @Apex_Predator stated above but I don't know? A jockey helmet on Shaw would be much larger I think?

It looks like this is open to interpretation right now. There's several shots with different versions of resolutions going around too! It's likely that I'm completely wrong, lol! I guess if you look at something long enough you can find anything? The one thing that does seem certain is it's a hologram of Shaw.

I have been going back and forth about the spike question at :26. I am back on board with a spike since it is punctuated with a reverby drum sound.

Somebody mentioned it before but for as advanced as the tech is, their video quality is like a VHS with bad tracking control.
That was me, I pointed out that for all their Uber-Tech, the Engineers were seriously lacking in even basic Holography. :)
Man, makes you wonder if they even had cameras :D
IN SPACE THERE IS NO WARNING
LOL! That was great BWW. Maybe they had to be discreet with fund allocation. If we have the musical note activated tech, we will have to cut funds in the AV department and have the goo canisters made by a third party and risk that they might leak.
Big Dave's zoom uncannily looks like Shaw, but another looks like a hugger and the side angle looks deformed to me
Perhaps they look at more than one recording but the song throws us off?
The tentilcle / chair thing is 50/50, however if we get Deckard's enhance machine out, the chair looks like it has green boils on it!
My heads spinning like a huge, drunk red herring!
