Ten Years Together
David 8 knew Dr. Shaw better than Dr. Holloway. I am not referring to a physical relationship but one based on no secrets.
David 8 spent years on the way to LV-223 watching Dr. Shaw's dreams (and I'm sure others as well).
Heh Physics...then think about when the tip of that one 'arm' of the ship slammed down on where Shaw was hiding. In any normal universe, she'd have been a thin spray across a 40 meter wide circle.
Vickers forgot the First Main Rule of Space Travel:
'Don't Panic'
She also likely forgot to bring a towel as well.
:D
IN SPACE THERE IS NO WARNING
"is there really a rumor of two juggernauts"
Kind of YES and NO
Two of the reports from the Cinemacon footage had described Two alternative versions of the events.
1) Described the Juggernaught Hovers above a Platform and then pieces rise up and attach to the Juggernaught like a Jigsaw Puzzle before it does its Business.
2) A 2nd account claimed there was another ship like the one from Alien that linked up with the Juggernaught at the ends, and then proceeded in its Business.
The 2nd account could explain why Shaw would have to take control of one of the ships, but then that would mean she would already have had to had been shown how to do this. The second account if fits with the Hologram of Shaw would mean the TWO of them was in agreement with the Action carried out.
The Problem with these TWO Accounts is they differ in what happened next tool.

But indeed as far as what they had been up to in 10 years, Fassbender had hinted they had like a Marriage relationship which most likely means things was fine during a Honeymoon Period before things went to Pot...
We dont know how long they have been on Paradise but we have to assume its over 9 years and we have to assume Shaw is no longer there, but was used in some way by David. This does not mean she is Dead though... maybe she escapes David or she attempted to.
The Hologram Scene in the TV Spots only confirms at some point Shaw was at the controls of this Juggernaught but it in no way can be taken as a indication of when this was. It could be shortly before the Crash, or it could be at a earlier point prior to the Crash.
So many things that could have happened in the 10 years before THEY left LV-223 and to when the Covenant Crew Arrive.
We just dont know 100% what happened, and i dont think we would find out exactly everything that transpired in this movie.
I will ASSUME Shaw made it to Paradise, but Shaw is no longer there by the time the Covenant Crew arrive.
I think a Big Question we should be asking is how does Shaws Dog/ID Tag get stuck hanging from the ceiling of the Juggernauts Corridors (with Space Jockey Suits) that leads to the Central Pilot/Control/Cryo Room.
A violent event like a crashing of the ship would answer this.
The Set reports do claim there was a Room she was hiding away from David in, and so we have to ask why would she be hiding away from him?
Unless she crashed the Ship on Purpose while David was on the Outside Platform... then she would have a good reason to hide from him.

Its a good idea you raise about David making a signal to Paradise to disguise himself as a incoming Engineer Ship.
This is pretty much similar to what the Rebels had to do in Rogue One when attempting to get on the Death Star.
This would depend how Advanced the Civilization is on Paradise, as if they are as advanced and operational as say the LV-223 Outpost would have been prior to the Outbreak 2000 years ago.
Then indeed they would not simply allow a Engineer Warship to just enter the Atmosphere without checking up on why they are their and granting them permission.
The Whole Paradise beings/Engineers Civilization looks very Ancient and only the Central Cathedral looks like it has Technology.
I would also question how come these beings had all of a sudden taken a great interest in flocking towards the area the Juggernaught comes down to.
To me its as if these beings would be in as much awe and amazement as how say Ancient Humans would have been if indeed the Ancient Astronaut theories are correct.
So i would assume that these beings on Paradise are not used to seeing Ships coming and going on a regular basis and that this Civilization was Ancient and that the Past Events they indeed did interact from time to time with Superior beings to themselves who visited down upon them... maybe just as Ancient Mankind was when we was given or obtained clues to those Star Maps.
so it could be that these beings on Paradise had not seen any visits by these Superior Beings in quite some time and they saw the Juggernaught arriving as the return of these Superior Beings above them.
They simply could not have been aware of the kind of Ship the Juggernaught is and its purpose or else they would have ran for cover.
And they cant have any advanced Technology or else they would have taken down the Juggernaught if they knew what it was.
But maybe after they witnessed the reason David was there, they then managed to activate something to take the Juggernaught out of the sky.

The "tail" is at the time of playback physically there not a hologram explained by how it displays no static and is non-transparent, however the figure in the chair is clearly screaming in pain.
Look upon my works, you mighty, and despair
and this is in fact shaw if you look you will see, she has her head turned
Look upon my works, you mighty, and despair
Interesting.....
Its so hard to make out due to how these Holograms work but it does look like her Mouth is Wide open here in that shot.
Just played through that shot over and over on a few frame repeat and it could be a glitch in how the Holograms break up.
I however could see this scene as being something where Shaw is in a rush and panicking more than in any pain.

I am starting to think Alien Covenant will loosely give us clues to the Xenomorph and maybe its a Red Herring but at very least will be a Fan Service Attempt to please those who was looking forwards to Alien 5
And i think the Greatest Mystery to be Told is indeed what transpired those 10 years prior to when the Covenant arrives at Paradise. I think this is where Covenant will raise a number of Questions that only the events prior to Alien Covenant can answer.
Because if we look instead at Alien Covenant onward as far as the aftermath, then its quite a Predictable Event.

very interesting thought BD. So basically Those beings are not in the loop and saw the ship or two, ran to it in amazement and Shaw and David Killed them. If those beings were not in the know of what happened 2000 years ago they were basically murdered, right? that's messed up. lol BUT that could add a whole lot of story line moving forward into other movies. Because I bet something or someone was watching them and now they're gone. There will be Hell to pay.
kinda funny, the engineers have mastered interstellar transportation, and genetic manipulation, but can't make a decently clear hologram.

I slowed down the video and added time warp effect. Some details are more visible: https://youtu.be/3YRwU7IO49s
LOL Resurgence, The MJ hologram and Tupac hologram did a better job :)
Nice Job...
This makes it more clear its Shaw and also makes it clear she is looking up at something thats a bit off to her Left
Her Line of Sight would be similar to this at a object the near side of this line, and we have to remember this is a reference image of better quality and the actual scene the Space Jockey Chair will be facing the opposite direction.
Also i now notice with the Hologram shot compared to the other Shot in the First Trailer that the Space Jockey Chair has its Lights Activated at the Bottom of that Telescopic Device.
So someone has activated the Hologram that has also activated the Space Jockey Chair.
It would be likely thus that Shaw was either watching the Space Jockey Chair or someone inside the Chair... or a Humanoid Height figure around the location of the Green I approximately.
So is she watching David or someone else either on that Platform or in the chair, or merely just watching the Back End of the Space Jockey Chair?

Just studied the Scenes from the Take me Home Trailer and the First Trailer and i have used images from Prometheus and the Concept Render for Prometheus and tried to highlight where Shaw is looking at and Angle of the Pilot Chair in Relation to these Images.
And i think the Circled Red Target is approximately where she is looking at.

Gizmo, awesome job on the video and it does clear up the hologram. Really nice.
Thank you BigDave.

Yes, I believe David 8 sends a signal or message to those on Paradise. Something welcoming to celebrate and that is why they collected at the temple. I read that as well as far as two ships and that could explain why Dr. Shaw is operating one.
We saw that juggernaut ship crashed, where is the second Engineer ship?
Yes, Dr. Shaw is looking up in the hologram and most likely this is a display used in coordination with David 8 in another ship and she can see what is going on and respond to it.
something is still off in my opinion. If David and Shaw killed off all the engineers on that planet it just seems too easy, which makes it not interesting. They killed them off with their own tech. I hope there is good writing put into that scene so it just move things along.
Oh yes, Shasta cyclone, we are still quite in the dark in regards to the happenings of the attack on Paradise. Taking the Engineers by surprise can be pretty fun to watch though.
